Job Title:
Information Graphics Editor - Client Services, Strategic CapitalCompany:
Prologis
A day in the life
At Prologis, we sit at the intersection of global trade, logistics, supply chains, e-commerce, energy and sustainability. Through our global operating platform, customer relationships and industry-leading research organization, we have a unique perspective on the forces shaping the global economy.
Strategic Capital, our private capital business with $102 billion in assets under management across 17 countries and 11 private funds, depends on clear, accurate and compelling communication to help investors understand those trends.
We are looking for an Information Graphics Editor to help define how those stories are told.
Understanding that communication with data is different from other types of graphic design, this role is fully dedicated to information design. Your primary focus will be creating charts, maps, tables and information graphics that transform complex ideas into visual explanations that are clear, insightful and trustworthy.
You will work closely with subject matter experts to help explain topics ranging from global trade and supply chains to sustainability, energy, capital markets and logistics real estate. Your role is not simply to visualize data, it is to help people understand it.
This role will partner with our Lead Designer to ensure quantitative and qualitative storytelling work together seamlessly across presentations, reports, email and investor communications.
Unlike many corporate design roles, you will have the opportunity to focus deeply on the craft of information design while helping establish the standards, systems and workflows that make our graphics more consistent, more scalable and easier to produce.
We are equally interested in preserving craftsmanship and exploring innovation. This role will help shape where emerging technologies, including AI and automation, can improve efficiency and where thoughtful human judgment and accuracy remains essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Design and produce charts, graphs, tables, maps and information graphics across Strategic Capital presentations, reports and investor communications
Translate complex quantitative information into clear, accurate and engaging visual narratives
Evolve the visual language of Strategic Capital's information graphics so every visualization complements the Prologis brand while remaining clear, consistent and immediately understandable
Partner with subject matter experts to identify the most effective way to communicate complex ideas visually
Develop reusable chart libraries, templates and visualization standards that improve consistency, scalability and production efficiency
Create graphics for investor presentations, quarterly reports, fundraising materials, market reports and thought leadership content
Explore emerging visualization tools, automation and AI workflows that improve quality, efficiency and scalability while maintaining analytical integrity
Stay current on developments in information design, visual journalism and data visualization, bringing new ideas and best practices to the team
Building blocks for success
Required:
5+ years of experience in information graphics, information design, data visualization, visual journalism or a related discipline
Deep understanding of data visualization best practices, including chart selection, perceptual accuracy and graphical integrity.
A portfolio demonstrating excellence in quantitative storytelling through charts, maps, tables and information graphics
Strong command of typography, color, hierarchy, composition and visual communication principles
Advanced proficiency in tools such as Excel, Datawrapper, Tableau, Illustrator, Figma or D3-based tools
Working proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to integrate visualizations into executive presentations
Experience with one or more visualization platforms such as Datawrapper, Tableau, Power BI, D3, Python or similar tools
Strong understanding of information hierarchy, perception and analytical communication
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Curiosity, sound judgment and a collaborative approach to problem solving
Preferred:
Experience in data journalism, economic research, consulting or financial communications
Experience creating maps and spatial visualizations, including familiarity with ESRI or similar geospatial tools
Familiarity with motion graphics, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere Pro
Experience building interactive graphics or web experiences using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, including visualization frameworks such as Svelte and D3.js.
Familiarity with UX design principles
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Demonstrated willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
