About the company

Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own and extend the core infrastructure behind a software platform used by large organizations, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security and scalability. The work spans cloud infrastructure as code, secure deployment across customer environments and connectivity with customer IT teams. You will also help shape how a small engineering team works with AI-assisted development tools.

What you'll do

- Build and maintain core platform infrastructure as code, primarily on AWS, with a focus on reliability, scalability and security.

- Develop foundational backend systems such as large-scale code search, authentication, sandboxed execution and orchestration.

- Automate deployments across many customer cloud accounts, including access control, single sign-on, auditing and data residency, in both cloud and on-premises setups.

- Set up and troubleshoot network connectivity between the platform and customer environments, including VPNs, firewall rules and routing, working with customer IT and network teams.

- Support compliance work such as SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 where the position leans toward security.

- Improve the team's AI-driven developer workflow and internal tooling.

- Start by solving issues and learning the codebase, then take ownership of larger systems such as the deployment pipeline and improve them over time.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- 3 to 8 years of experience in platform, backend or distributed-systems engineering, or in infrastructure, DevOps or security engineering.

- Hands-on production experience with Terraform.

- Strong AWS knowledge, including VPC, networking, VPNs, IAM and compute, plus solid networking fundamentals.

- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions.

- Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript/React and Go.

- A first-principles approach to solving new and unintuitive problems, not only familiar ones.

- Strong academic or competitive track record and a record of exceptional ability.

- Experience at a high-performing, talent-dense engineering organization.

- Genuine interest in pushing AI-native developer experience forward.

Bonus points

- Familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.

- Experience with AI or LLM systems.

- Zero-to-one building experience.
