We are seeking an Innovation & Transformation Manager to join our team in New York. Innovation & Transformation is Proskauer's function for innovation, transformation, legal technology enablement, and continuous improvement, responsible for delivering governed, adopted, and measurable change across practices, matters, and regions. You will deliver and sustain the products, projects, adoption methodology, support, and measurement that Innovation & Transformation provides to the firm. You will lead pilots and rollouts, drive firmwide adoption, resolve technical and process issues, and deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency; you will partner with lawyers, business professionals, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership; and you will play a leading role in a function that is reshaping how Proskauer operates.
Responsibilities- Own the support and sustainment of in-life products, ensuring that newly deployed technologies and process changes are successfully adopted, sustained, and integrated into how the firm operates.
- Own assigned pilots end-to-end, including delivery, measurement, and scale, stop, iterate, or replace recommendations, working with practice-aligned colleagues who lead practice-facing execution.
- Drive firmwide adoption of legal technology by developing the assets and methods practice-aligned colleagues deploy in-practice, including communications templates, core training materials, generic guidance, champion and super-user program design, and behavioral change patterns.
- Drive user adoption and engagement across owned products, implementing feedback mechanisms, usage tracking, and targeted enablement strategies that improve satisfaction, productivity, and value delivery.
- Contribute to Innovation & Transformation's approach to responsible use of AI in legal practice, including pilot governance, productization, adoption methodology, and sustained enablement of AI-enabled products across the firm.
- Triage and troubleshoot user-reported issues, questions, and enhancement requests, managing resolution workflows and routing to the appropriate owner, vendor, or delivery pathway where escalation is required.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess return on investment, benefits realization, and continued alignment with business needs, and define and track KPIs that measure the effectiveness of implemented technologies, process improvements, and adoption efforts.
- Execute change readiness and organizational change strategies to prepare stakeholders, including stakeholder engagement, communications planning, and risk mitigation.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across practice groups, departments, and the wider firm, and facilitate executive-level reporting and communications, presenting progress, risks, opportunities, and outcomes to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues from across Innovation & Transformation and the wider firm, including Practice Management, Knowledge Management, BD/Marketing, Procurement, Security, and IT, where the work depends on their authority, expertise, or systems.
- Provide line management to direct reports where required, including day-to-day supervision, coaching, performance oversight, and development, and contribute to the wider development of Specialists across the function.
- Working flexibly across the function to support firm priorities as they emerge, providing cover and clean handovers for teammates, and responding promptly to inbound requests, escalating where a decision is required at a more senior level.
- Previous experience with legal technology, working at a law firm or legal technology vendor preferred, with demonstrated experience in innovation, transformation, or legal operations.
- Proven experience in project management, including the use of tracking tools and structured methodologies, and the ability to see initiatives through from idea to implementation.
- Strong background in post-implementation support, user adoption, and change management within a professional services or enterprise environment, including generative AI, document automation, collaboration platforms, and workflow tooling.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives, defining and tracking performance metrics, and improving efficiency, user experience, and value delivery.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence at partner, executive, and firm-leadership level, with strong project management skills, a growth mindset, and a passion for learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed function, with sound judgment, ownership mindset, and absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $150,000-$180,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
