Position Summary:  

The Institutional Marketing Lead is a pivotal component of the firm’s growth strategy. This is a role for a senior marketer who will own integrated marketing strategy, execution, and relationship management across the firm's institutional and corporate practices. It requires a deep understanding of institutional and corporate buyers and stakeholders — including experience with endowments and foundations, non-profits, corporate retirement plans, and venture capital programs. The right candidate will have the ability to create cohesive, multi-channel marketing plans that drive engagement and measurable impact while contributing to tactical work and building a team.  

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Develop annual marketing plans for 4-5 institutional/B2B business areas (including campaigns, KPIs, and budgets aligned to business goals)
  • Generate deep, trusted and proactive relationships with business leaders and teams  
  • Leverage foundational and innovative omni-channel marketing to drive awareness and generate business
  • Work with the Content team to craft compelling, high-value content and organic marketing tactics to engage target audiences.  
  • Work closely with the Digital Team on paid media to support reach and acquisition.  
  • Identify opportunities for earned media and strategic partnership across business lines
  • Generate creative marketing ideas to test and learn for growth.
  • Project manage all facets of work, adhering to deadlines and moving initiatives forward while managing expectations
  • Directly manage, delegate to, and develop a team of colleagues with clear ownership of specific deliverables per business line and regular review of output quality and timeliness.
  • Establish KPIs, track performance, and deliver monthly dashboards to stakeholders, CMO, and leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 15-20 years of experience in institutional marketing, with a background in financial services, wealth management, or asset management.
  • Experience marketing to the institutional buyer, including endowments, foundations, and nonprofits, is required.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of colleagues is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to run a rigorous tracking and reporting system across multiple concurrent workstreams, while meeting deadlines and surfacing dependencies proactively.
  • Proven excellence in complex stakeholder management, including the organizational discipline to manage competing stakeholder priorities without dropping commitments.
  • Ability to provide data-supported updates and craft compelling presentations to bring on-marketing stakeholders along.
  • Proven ability leading integrated campaigns with measurable results in lead generation, brand recognition, and client engagement.
  • Experience with the venture capital industry and/or retirement/public pension plans preferred.
  • Strong storytelling skills, ability to consume financial concepts and create compelling content.
  • Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and creatively in a lean marketing environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing tech-stack, vendors, and tools.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, ability to communicate succinctly with busy stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a complex and growing matrixed organization.  

Compensation Range: 

$180,000 - $220,000
