Own institutional distribution for OCPI compute exposure: prospect and trade with hedge funds, manage index licensing to exchanges, and lead data-licensing sales into consultancies, hyperscalers, and enterprises. Run the sales trading desk, build relationships with capital allocators, and become the primary commercial expert on OCPI methodology and GPU compute pricing.

About Ornn
Ornn is building the financial infrastructure for AI compute. Our price indices are live on Bloomberg Terminal. We structure and trade compute hedging instruments. And we're now building a platform that brings exchange-grade mechanics like order management, matching, scheduling, and settlement to how compute capacity gets reserved and allocated. We're a lean team in New York, backed by leading venture and strategic investors.

About the Role
This seat is responsible for all institutional distribution.

  1. You will prospect systematic and discretionary macro funds, pod shops, and specialist commodity funds that want long or short compute exposure, walk them through the product, run quotes on cash-settled swaps, and match trades manually. Expect to spend a meaningful portion of your week on the phone with PMs and traders who are seeing this market for the first time.
  2. You will own the OCPI licensing pipeline: building relationships with exchange listing teams, structuring index license agreements, and pushing each conversation toward a live listed product. Success here is how Ornn eventually moves from bilateral swap trades to listed derivatives clearing through global exchanges.
  3. You will run the sales motion end to end for data licensing. The highest-intent buyers today are the large strategy consulting firms, who need this data to inform client work on AI infrastructure, capex planning, and cloud strategy. Beyond consulting, the buyer base includes hyperscaler strategy and procurement teams, neocloud CFOs, and Fortune 500 companies standing up internal AI roadmaps.

What You'll Do
  • Run an institutional sales trading desk for cash-settled OCPI swaps, covering hedge funds and other institutional counterparties and handling the full workflow from prospecting through execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the largest capital allocators trading AI and infrastructure themes, becoming their first call when they want compute exposure.
  • Lead the data licensing sales motion into consulting firms, hyperscalers, neoclouds, and Fortune 500 enterprises, with primary focus on the top strategy consultancies as the fastest-growing segment.
  • Develop deep command of the OCPI methodology, the GPU compute market structure, and the pricing dynamics of the underlying asset, and use that command to be the most credible voice in any room you are in.

What We're Looking For
Requirements

  • Experience on an institutional sales trading or institutional sales desk covering hedge funds, ideally in a derivatives product
  • Comfort explaining technical products to sophisticated buyers
  • Entrepreneurial orientation

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience selling index licenses, benchmarks, or market data at Bloomberg, S&P, MSCI, ICE Data Services, Morningstar, or a comparable firm.
  • Startup or zero-to-one experience, particularly at a financial infrastructure company.
  • A network among systematic or discretionary macro funds, commodity funds, or multi-strategy pod shops.

Why This Role Matters
Ornn's thesis is that GPU compute is a commodity asset class that needs full capital markets infrastructure built around it, and we are the company building it. We already have the benchmark, the derivatives, and the physical exchange in various stages of buildout, but none of that compounds commercially without institutional distribution. This role is how Ornn converts product into revenue and product into mindshare at the same time.

Compensation and Benefits
Benefits include competitive salary, meaningful equity, health coverage, free meals, and additional benefits. This is a leadership role with significant strategic impact and equity upside.

Equal Opportunity Statement
Ornn is committed to building a diverse team. We evaluate candidates based on their ability to do the work, not on pedigree or background. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
