Thanks for your interest in Success Academy! Running a large, fast-growing, and high-performing network of public charter schools takes a village - families, children, teachers, staff and faculty, advocates, and supporters alike. We are growing fast in New York and expanding to Florida, and we would love to welcome you to our community! We work tirelessly every day to ensure children have access to a fun, rigorous, whole-child education regardless of zip code or economic status. When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through our doors a fair shot at reaching his or her potential.

Our Athletics Program fosters team spirit, discipline, and healthy competition across our network of schools. As a Part-Time Athletics Intern, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on, in-person support for equipment inventory and ensuring the smooth execution of Success Academy's athletics games, events, and competitions.

As an Athletics Intern, you will:

  • Manage Equipment & Inventory – Assist in tracking, organizing, maintaining, and distributing athletic equipment and gear across facilities to ensure teams are fully prepared for games and practices.
  • Support Event Logistics & On-Site Operations – Provide in-person operational support for Success Academy athletics games and events, including setup, breakdown, scorekeeping, team check-ins, and venue coordination.
  • Coordinate Game-Day Execution – Assist coaches, referees, and event staff on-site to ensure game schedules run on time and troubleshoot on-the-ground operational needs during events.
  • Maintain Safety & Facility Standards – Support event directors in ensuring game environments, fields, and gyms meet safety standards and provide a positive experience for student-athletes and families.

This internship is a great opportunity for those interested in sports management, athletics administration, event planning, and/or operations. You will work closely with our athletics team to ensure smooth execution, gain valuable skills in sports event operations, and contribute to a mission-driven organization that impacts thousands of students across NYC.

This is a part-time paid opportunity ($22/hour). The role requires flexible availability to provide in-person support during athletics games and events, which will include afternoon, evening, and weekend hours based on the sports season schedule.

  • Experience organizing equipment, managing inventory, or assisting with athletic events/competitions.
