The Opportunity

Kargo is seeking a Finance Intern for the summer.  The Kargo Finance team is ​​looking for accounting personnel to help with our day-to-day financial and accounting operational needs. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience. You will learn about all the different processes and functions of Kargo’s accounting team.
You’ll learn how to manage deadlines, communicate and build relationships with various members of the organization, as well as create and maintain reports in excel.

The Daily To-Do

• Process and get approval for vendor invoices
• Assist team members with ad-hoc reports and special projects
• Monthly revenue and expense processing
• Assist the Account Manager with reconciling bank transactions and other reconciling accounts
• Journal entry postings
• Shadow international accounting processes
• Provide support to M&A integration team

Qualifications

• This year, we’ll be prioritizing candidates who are rising undergraduate seniors or who are pursuing postgraduate studies. All interns are required to be eligible to work in the U.S. with no visa sponsorship.
• Working towards a bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Dropbox
• Strong organizational skills
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration and new ideas
