Job Summary:
The Global Insights Intern will support the team in analyzing consumer and marketplace data, identifying emerging trends, and providing actionable insights to inform business strategies across marketing, product development, and more. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and naturally curious individual who loves to dig deep into data and extract valuable insights. You’ll work on projects that span across multiple functions, helping us understand our consumers and the Beauty industry in ways that drive business growth.

Responsibilities:
- Consumer & Marketplace Analysis: Analyze and interpret consumer and marketplace data to identify key behaviors, emerging trends, and opportunities within the Beauty industry. Provide actionable insights that support decision-making.
- Trendspotting: Monitor emerging Beauty trends on social media platforms, leveraging these insights to inform cross-functional strategies.
- Social Listening: Use social listening tools to track consumer sentiment, analyze competitor activity, and uncover valuable market insights to drive business growth.
- Survey Design & Analysis: Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of quantitative surveys, contributing to the interpretation of research findings that help shape strategic business decisions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, etc.) to support key projects, proactively identifying research opportunities and ensuring insights are integrated into various strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
- Must be available to commit 35-40 hours/week from early June to late August.
-Must be available to commute to our NYC office for the duration of the internship.
- Currently a rising Junior/Senior pursuing a degree in Market Research, Consumer Behavior, Business Analytics, or a related field with a quantitative focus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, uncover insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations for various stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel for data analysis (pivot tables, functions, visualization, macros) and familiar with data analytics tools such as SQL and SPSS.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to present complex data clearly and effectively.
- Detail-oriented and execution-focused, with an emphasis on accuracy and high standards of work.
- Self-motivated, organized, and collaborative, with a proactive approach to driving projects forward across teams.
- Passionate about data, analytics, and understanding Beauty consumers, with a natural curiosity for uncovering insights and understanding market dynamics.
