About Oula
Oula is redesigning maternity care from the ground up. Our modern maternity centers combine the best of obstetrics and midwifery care to deliver a more evidence-based and personalized pregnancy experience. From our patient-centered medical team, welcoming clinic, and remote care platform, we are setting a new standard for pregnancy care that unifies modern medicine and human intuition. Our first clinic opened in Brooklyn in 2021. We’ve since opened a second clinic in downtown Manhattan with plans for more Oula clinics and markets to come in 2024.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our information technology infrastructure and systems. The IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, managing IT projects, implementing new technologies, and maintaining the security and integrity of our data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, experience in the healthcare industry, and a passion for using technology to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.

This is a full-time position with the option to be either hybrid in New York City. The role reports to Oula's Chief Operations Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Manage outsourced vendor who is responsible for maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
  • Oversee IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT needs and requirements, and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company's data and information systems, including implementing and monitoring security measures, conducting regular audits, and addressing any security vulnerabilities or breaches.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including negotiating contracts, evaluating vendor performance, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in the healthcare industry, and make recommendations for the adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and patient care.
  • Train and mentor IT staff, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the IT department.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management
  • Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network management.
  • Experience managing outsourced IT vendors
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks like CIS or NIST
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other relevant certifications preferred.
