Responsible for planning, executing and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to the plan. The Project Manager will also define the project objectives and oversee quality control throughout project life cycles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Directs and manages complex projects/programs from design and development to production.

2. Defines requirements and plans project lifecycle deployment in conjunction with project sponsor, including outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, communication plan and timing.

3. Defines resource’s roles and responsibilities and schedule for project/program implementation.

4. Determines if external consultants or contractors will be required to complete project plan. If required, recruits and manages appropriate staffing resources.

5. Clearly communicates expectations and milestones to project members and management officials.

6. Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.

7. Proactively leads and oversees project team and manages conflicts within group.

8. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.

9. Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

10. Tracks project milestones and deliverables.

11. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.

12. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results, and troubleshoots problem areas.

13. Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.

14. Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.

15. Is accountable for project results along with project sponsor.

16. Performs team assessments and evaluations.

17. Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.

18. Demonstrates leadership to define requirements for project risk.

19. Develops Requests for Proposals (RFP) in conjunction with purchasing department for external services.

20. Designs and maintains technical and project documentation.

21. Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.

22. Determines how results will be measured and completes a lessons learned evaluation to determine how well results were achieved offering recommendations for continuous improvement.

23. Ensures all project documents are safely archived following project completion.

24. Maintains a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understands and complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures at all times.

25. Provides exceptional customer service to all customers and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.

26. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

27. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.

28. Attends all necessary meetings.

29. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.

2. High School diploma or equivalent required.

3. CAPM, PMI or equivalent certification preferred.

4. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience in field of project management.

5. Minimum four (4) to six (6) years of IT project management experience, coordinating and/supporting IT business processes.

6. Expertise with project management tools and/or software packages

7. Requires scheduling and budgeting experience.

8. Demonstrated leadership managing people

9. Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities

10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; strategic, problem solving and analytical skills.

11. Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

12. Ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve desired goals and outcomes.

13. Proficient with personal computers; experience with productivity software, such as Windows, Microsoft Office software.

14. Experience with consulting contract and vendor negotiations.

15. High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

16. High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.

1. Must possess excellent communication skills: listening, writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.

2. Must have the ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, customers and vendors.

3. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers, vendors and employees.

4. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

5. Must have the ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments

When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.

1. Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.

2. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.


Salary Starting Rate:$78,511.06

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
 

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
