We are seeking a motivated, analytically driven Junior Quantitative Analyst to support our Rates trading desk. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with salespeople and traders on pricing, risk management, quantitative modeling, and electronic trading initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the US Rates desk in aspects of daily trade operations, sales support and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate across technology platforms to continuously improve electronic pricing logic, trade execution, and client experience.
  • Build, develop, and maintain models to improve the production of the rate desk.
  • Analyze market trends and financial data related to U.S. interest rates.
  • Conduct research on economic factors influencing interest rates and bond markets.
  • Partner with traders to translate trading ideas into implementable quantitative strategies.
  • Develop new and maintain current real-time risk analytics across Bloomberg, Excel, and internal systems.
  • Provide day-to-day quantitative support to the Rates trading desk, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen the desk’s electronic trading capabilities.
  • Develop and implement new pricing and risk models to support products traded by Rates desk.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the US Rates team.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in quantitative, Technical, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a markets-related role within a financial institution.
  • Active FINRA licenses, including SIE, Series 7TO, and 63, or willingness to obtain them prior to hire.
  • Experience in data science, including data mining, trend identification, and basic statistical analysis.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.
  • Experience with programming tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar languages is preferred.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and related software.
  • Experience in numerical programming, including optimization techniques.
  • Practical experience working with database systems.
  • Working knowledge of interest rate products.

Odeon Capital Group provides a total compensation package which may include a base salary, commissions, discretionary performance bonus, and/or a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position, at the time of posting, is $65,000 to $85,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The final base salary amount that is offered to any candidate, in any location, will be determined on several factors, which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or regulatory licenses.
