Are you passionate about helping homebuyers achieve their dreams? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? If you’re eager to start your career in the mortgage industry or closing department, this is your chance to learn from the ground up!

As a Junior Closer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the mortgage process from start to finish. With a strong desire to grow, you’ll develop the skills needed to become a seasoned closer/funder while delivering top-tier customer service.

What You’ll Do:

  • Redisclose all fee changes due to changes in loan terms throughout the process (e.g. third party fees, changes in appraised values, etc.) to ensure Tomo is in compliance.

  • Request and monitor all lender wires through the warehouse bank to fund loans on behalf of the entire closing team.

  • Track all collateral packages to ensure timely delivery to warehouse banks and subsequent shipment to designated investors.

Your role will evolve to…

  • Thoroughly review all pre-closing documents to ensure accuracy of information, including fees, rates, property details, and vesting before document preparation.

  • Input required closing data in the loan origination system

  • Review compliance reports and remediate any fails or alerts

  • Check title report for correct endorsements and approved items, and to verify that Borrower and property are correct

  • Prepare and issue the Initial Closing Disclosure.

  • Draw and release closing documents to the Settlement Agent

  • Authorize funding of loan

  • Assist in resolving any post-closing issues as needed

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Staying current on federal, state, investor and internal policies and procedures

  • Maintaining transparency between all teammates involved in a customer’s journey

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree

  • 1+ years of professional experience (bonus if that is recent mortgage closing/funding experience)

What’s in It for You?

  • Career growth: Multiple paths within Tomo, including elite operational roles

  • Equity ownership: All teammates receive stock options

  • Coaching and mentorship: Build a foundation for a mortgage career
