Catbird is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio to join our Art Department. Our team is responsible for bringing jewelry to life through all brand touch points -- marketing, e-commerce, social media, packaging, print advertising, events and our stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design email campaigns, digital marketing, and social media assets utilizing our extensive photo and illustration library
  • Conceptualize and design animated banners, elements, and rich media content to engage customers. Experience designing for video is a plus!
  • Contribute to catbirdnyc.com - specialty landing pages, product pages and mobile site - with a keen eye for an elevated user experience 
  • Create, refresh, and maintain design templates and toolkits
  • Organize and audit digital assets
  • Support with print projects including packaging, advertising and environmental design elements

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 1-2 years design experience, agency or in-house brand experience a plus
  • A robust background in digital design with an interest in branding
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with a strong understanding of hierarchy, typography and color
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a passion for organization
  • A sensibility for current social, design and digital trends and best practices
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-motivated attitude and a goal of going above and beyond
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professionally 
  • Familiarity with After Effects a plus
