Overview of Role

  • The Junior IT Business Relationship Manager (IT BRM) role works closely with and supports the Lead Regional IT Business Relationship manager. This role maintains a strong working relationship between IT and the Global Advisory division and helps ensure that IT business applications and services are delivered in line with agreed standards and expectations.
  • The Junior IT BRM acts as a first point of assistance for day‑to‑day IT queries and issues, helping to coordinate responses and escalating more complex matters to the Lead Regional BRM where required. The incumbent also provide support with identifying opportunities for service improvement and innovation that enhance the business’s use of technology in collaboration with the global GA IT BRM team.
  • The role supports the planning, administration, and coordination of an existing portfolio of technology change initiatives, working closely with business sponsors, the IT Portfolio Manager, Project Management Office, and the Lead Regional BRM. This includes assisting with application ownership activities for key business systems, maintaining documentation, tracking issues and changes, and developing an understanding of business requirements and delivering IT solutions.
  • This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in investment banking or M&A technology, business relationship management, project management, business analysis or consulting. Strong expertise in one or more of these disciplines would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Lead Regional BRM to build strong relationships with Global Advisory stakeholders to support application strategy and technology initiatives. This includes, but not limited to, support of Client lifecycle Management applications, AI Solutions such as Rogo, and productivity applications, primarily for Microsoft Office 365.
  • Assist with IT initiatives and activities impacting Global Advisory, such as workstation refresh programs.
  • Assist the Lead BRM with providing supporting content related to project progress, issues, and incidents for stakeholder meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to group standards in terms of methodology and tools for applications and solutions. Adhere to defined global business application processes used to govern, manage technology delivery and support as well as reporting on project delivery to the regional lead IT BRM.
  • Act as an IT project manager and business analyst as required for agreed projects ensuring that products or solutions being considered meet business requirements and align to IT Architectural principles, IT Security and information security policies.
  • Provide support and ensure the BAU support for applications are appropriate and that they are within the expectations of business owners. This includes, but not limited to, knowledge transfer to the global service desk to perform level 1 support and that processes exist for the provision of Level 2&3 support through either in-house resources or vendor contracts.
  • Support the creation, updating, and maintenance of documentation (e.g. development specifications and support guides) for new and existing applications, working with global senior team members to keep materials accurate and up to date.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

Experience, Skills, and Competencies

  • Minimum of 5+ years of IT Business relationship management or similar experience supporting business stakeholders across all the Americas, collaborating within a global team, and assisting in the support and management of a global portfolio of business applications
  • A technical background with experience in Investment Banking, M&A, and enterprise information systems (or professional services), encompassing AI-driven applications, productivity solutions, and a strong working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Experience in assisting with the rollout and support of AI specific tools and AI‑enabled applications, including helping to troubleshoot functional issues, logging and tracking defects, escalating complex problems, and supporting changes and enhancements through release cycles. This includes the ability to document and translate use cases to add functional benefits to the AI-enabled applications.
  • Exposure to the Financial Services Industry highly beneficial  
  • Exposure to project coordination and business analysis activities, supporting the regional IT Business Relationship lead with delivery and stakeholder engagement, ideally with certifications / qualifications or significant practical experience.
  • Exposure to vendor management activities, with experience supporting engagement with technology vendors and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across diverse cultural and organizational levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a track record of building strong business relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel and within tight timelines perform under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in current and emerging technologies.

Expected base salary rates for this role in our New York Office will be between $100,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, salary offers are determined on an individualized basis and are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and our Rothschild & Co employee benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
