Why Kimchi?

Kimchi is the enterprise AI coding platform from Cast AI, the automation company behind cloud-native infrastructure optimization for 2,100+ organizations, including Akamai, BMW, Cisco, and HuggingFace. We took six years of autonomous-infrastructure engineering and pointed it at how enterprises write software.

Kimchi is a multi-session, multi-model coding harness with an OpenAI-compatible inference gateway and model router, IDE and desktop clients, and autonomous agents like our Code Reviewer. It reached general availability in July 2026 and is already displacing incumbent coding assistants in enterprise accounts, at a fraction of the inference cost, with the cost attribution and governance FinOps and platform teams actually need.

You’ll be the technical lead on our fastest-moving product line in EMEA: the person who runs the proofs of concept that decide whether an engineering org moves its coding agents onto Kimchi.

About the role

As a Sales Engineer based in EMEA, you will be a founding member of our regional Go-to-Market organization and play a critical role in landing and expanding Kimchi within large engineering organizations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
You will sell to CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Platform Engineering leaders, and senior developers—translating Kimchi’s dual value proposition into clear business and technical outcomes. You will help prospects understand how Kimchi delivers the autonomy engineers want, inside the governance, security, deployment, and economic controls the enterprise needs.
Your work will directly impact regional revenue, enterprise product-market fit, and customer outcomes at scale.

Requirements

Must-haves:
  • Proven Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Field Engineer experience in developer tools, AI/ML infrastructure, or cloud platforms
  • Hands-on fluency with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot or similar) and a clear-eyed view of how they differ
  • Working knowledge of LLM serving and integration: OpenAI-compatible APIs, inference gateways and routers, context windows, tool calling, MCP, token economics
  • Comfortable in a terminal and in customer codebases. Fluent in at least one scripting language and able to debug a broken config live on a call
  • Track record converting technical evaluations into signed business, including enterprise security and architecture reviews
  • Based in EMEA with the right to work in your country of residence, and willing to travel across the region

Nice to have:

  • Experience benchmarking models and agents (accuracy, cost, latency)
  • Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure knowledge (useful for cross-sell into Cast AI’s core platform)
  • A public technical profile: talks, writing, or open source
  • Additional European languages
Responsibilities
  • Own the technical win. Run fast, well-scoped POCs from first architecture conversation to signed evaluation: install the harness, wire up the gateway, migrate existing agent workflows, and prove value against the customer’s own repositories and success criteria.
  • Be credible on day one. Walk into rooms with staff engineers and platform leads and hold your own on model routing, context management, and how coding agents actually differ in practice.
  • Design comparisons that survive scrutiny. Measure Kimchi against incumbent tooling on accuracy, cost per run, and developer experience, and make the numbers land for both engineers and executive buyers.
  • Lead the gates. Enterprise security, data residency, and network architecture reviews are a recurring stage in Kimchi deals. You’ll run them, pulling in product engineering when the questions go deeper.
  • Unblock in real time. Diagnose and fix integration issues live. Sometimes that’s a customer’s IDE config that won’t authenticate at 6pm the day before a POC review.
  • Close the loop to product. Kimchi ships continuously. Signal you surface from live POCs frequently turns into same-day fixes.
  • Multiply the team. Enable AEs and the wider SE org to spot and qualify Kimchi opportunities, and represent Kimchi at conferences and meetups across EMEA.
What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive salary (depending on the level of experience).
  • Enjoy a flexible, remote-first global environment.
  • Collaborate with a global team of cloud experts and innovators, passionate about pushing the boundaries of Kubernetes technology
  • Equity options.
  • Get quick feedback with a fast-paced workflow. Most feature projects are completed in 1 to 4 weeks.
  • Spend 10% of your work time on personal projects or self-improvement.
  • Learning budget for professional and personal development - including access to international conferences and courses that elevate your skills.
  • Annual hackathon to spark new ideas and strengthen team bonds.
  • Team-building budget and company events to connect with your colleagues.
  • Equipment budget to ensure you have everything you need.
  • Extra days off to help maintain a healthy work-life balance.
