The firm seeks a Recruiting Coordinator to join our dynamic Lateral Recruiting Team. Based in New York or Washington, D.C., you'll support attorney recruiting firmwide, with a special focus on our East Coast, London, and Brussels offices serving as a key point of contact for candidates, hiring partners, and internal business teams. Core responsibilities include candidate screening, interview coordination across multiple time zones, and supporting our European hiring process.


We're looking for someone who thrives both independently and as part of a team, adapts easily to shifting priorities, and is eager to grow. You'll collaborate closely with recruiters, the Onboarding Coordinator, Professional Development, and Human Resources, as well as our London and Brussels office management teams to help attract, hire, and retain top, diverse legal talent.


This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.


Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing candidate materials, including resumes, law school transcripts and GPA information, and writing samples or deal sheets, and introducing candidates to practice group leaders and hiring partners with all relevant information.
  • Coordinating interview scheduling for East Coast offices (Boston, DC, New York, Wilmington), London, and Brussels, managing the complexity of multi-office scheduling across time zones.
  • Ensuring seamless candidate communication and experience throughout the interview process.
  • Preparing initial drafts of European employment contracts, offer letters and employment agreements, and confirming receipt of appropriate documents from candidates.
  • Coordinating with London and Brussels office management on candidate logistics and hiring processes.
  • Confirming London and Brussels benefits information with HR as needed and updating templates to reflect any revisions.
  • Supporting recruiting events, including logistics, invitations, and materials, for Patent Agent hiring.
  • Maintaining candidate tracking systems and producing recruiting reports.
  • Partnering with recruiters and the Onboarding Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition from interview to hire.
  • Meeting deadlines and making process efficiency recommendations as the subject matter expert on East Coast and European interview coordination.
  • Ensuring compliance with all processes and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proactively identifying process improvements and challenging the status quo to enhance the candidate experience.
  • Maintaining records in viRecruit and Workday, updating as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of corporate recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services is strongly preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with European employment contracts, offer letters, transcript requirements, and other European-specific hiring procedures is a plus.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication (written and verbal), and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues.
  • The ability to set priorities, work independently, and handle a variety of duties effectively across multiple time zones and offices under time constraints.
  • An understanding of unconscious bias and its effect on recruiting and hiring.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with different levels of firm personnel and external candidates.
  • Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated and creative with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday and LawCruit/viRecruit.

The primary location for this job posting is in New York, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:

New York: $29.83 - $40.36 per hour. Washington, D.C.: $26.97 - $36.49 per hour.

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
