We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Analytics Consultant to join our Corporate and Investment Banking - Markets analytics team. The ideal candidate will combine financial acumen with advanced technical skills to drive data-driven insights and support strategic decision-making across Markets business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI to support sales/trading, risk, and strategy teams.
- Write efficient and scalable SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from complex databases.
- Build and automate analytical tools and models using Python for forecasting and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with salespeople, traders, quants, and technology teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience in a data analytics role within sales & trading, or investment banking to Corporate & Investment Banking, investment banking, asset management, or a major financial institution.
- Understanding of Markets products.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Tableau/Power BI is required.
- Experience working with large financial datasets and market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
- Solid grasp of financial concepts and risk metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience at a top-tier investment bank or global financial institution.
- Real life applicability of leveraging AI to enhance performance.
