Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.

The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role
You join the Revenue Operations team, building and owning the data infrastructure that powers reliable reporting and leading a small team of analysts. You report to the Director of Business Intelligence and work closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations. It's a high-ownership role for a subject matter expert who can also present insights to executives.

What You'll Do
  • Own the Data Platform: Own and maintain our Azure-based data infrastructure, including data ingestion, transformation, and delivery, and serve as the subject matter expert on it.
  • Ingest 100+ Sources: Oversee ingestion of 100+ upstream raw data sources, such as Salesforce, demand-side platforms (DSPs), and ad platforms, into our data warehouse.
  • Build the Pipelines: Manage data transformation pipelines and implement best-in-class systems design, writing complex SQL and Python queries, stored procedures, and pipeline logic.
  • Govern the Data: Implement data governance best practices and champion them across the organization, ensuring data quality, pipeline reliability, and documentation standards, with quality assurance a cornerstone.
  • Deliver Analytics: Translate stakeholder business questions into data models and reporting solutions, support revenue analytics such as advertiser performance and DSP reporting, and own ad hoc analysis.
  • Partner Across Teams: Build and maintain a platform serving Sales, Sales Support, Finance, Marketing, and Product, and triage and prioritize incoming data requests alongside the Director of Business Intelligence.
  • Lead the Team: Manage and mentor a global team of business intelligence (BI) analysts, supporting their growth and execution, and uphold standards for governance, code quality, documentation, and delivery.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering, owning pipelines from raw data collection through delivery and reporting.
  • Strong SQL skills, including window functions, complex joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning, plus hands-on experience with Azure cloud services or equivalent (Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Blob Storage).
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior analysts or engineers, working across time zones and functions with international teams, and making your teammates better.
  • A clear communicator who translates complex data concepts and technical ideas into language that resonates with non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Ownership-driven and technically rigorous: you treat the systems you build and the team you lead as your own, go deep on infrastructure problems, and know accuracy is paramount.
  • Experience in adtech, media intelligence, or programmatic advertising (DSPs, supply-side platforms (SSPs), audience data), plus familiarity with Salesforce as a revenue source of truth.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership, and prior exposure to Microsoft Fabric or awareness of the Azure and Fabric roadmap.
