About Junior

Our Mission: become the ultimate intelligence layer behind every major investment decision.

Junior is building the AI intelligence platform for high-stakes investment research. We’re profitable, growing quickly and trusted by leading firms. We’re looking for a hands-on Product Manager to take important customer problems from discovery through to products people use.

What do we do?

Junior is building the AI operating system for investment research.

Private equity teams, consultants and financial institutions spend huge amounts of time gathering evidence, interviewing experts, analysing markets and turning research into decisions. Junior brings that work into one platform: from research and expert interviews to synthesis, market mapping and memo writing.

Our customers use Junior to do high-stakes work faster, while keeping the evidence connected to the output. The platform saves an average of 60 hours per due diligence project and is used by 20 of the 30 largest PE firms and 18 of the 20 leading strategy consultancies, including the likes of PwC, L.E.K., and Oliver Wyman.

We’re expanding the product into more of the work investment teams do, including investment banking, hedge funds and other research-intensive financial firms.

What you could work on

You’ll help build the tools investment teams use to research companies and make decisions. Current work includes:

  • Voice interviews: Build tools that help experts share useful answers, including voice interviews, better follow-up questions and more accurate transcripts.

  • Research and search: Help customers find the right facts across projects, companies and topics.

  • Slides and reports: Turn research into clear, ready-to-use slides that work with different company templates.

  • Surveys and research workflows: Make it easier to plan research, collect answers and turn them into useful results.

  • Desktop and mobile apps: Make Junior easier to use wherever customers do their work.

  • Finance and compliance: Build tools that help finance teams sort calls and spot sensitive information.

🔥 About you
  • You’ve taken a product from an early idea to launch and beyond. You can explain what you owned, the choices you made, what you learned and the impact it had.

  • You have 4+ years of product experience in a fast-moving team. You’ve shipped weekly or monthly and learned from real customer use.

  • You’re close to customers. You enjoy talking with users and senior leaders, understand their needs and turn their feedback into clear priorities. You’re also comfortable joining customer calls with Sales and Customer Success.

  • You get things done. You make good trade-offs, focus on what matters for the first version and keep work moving without adding extra process.

  • You’re comfortable with technology. You’re curious about how AI products work and can use tools like Claude Code to test ideas and make quick prototypes.

  • You communicate clearly. You can explain complex ideas in simple terms, write focused product plans and give demos that make people want to use the product.

  • You’re based in New York City and happy to work from the office five days a week.

  • Bonus: You’ve worked in consulting or use AI tools regularly.

Why join now?
  1. The business is already working: Junior is bootstrapped, profitable and at ~$30M ARR.

  2. There’s plenty left to build: We’re expanding the product into new investment workflows while continuing to improve the core platform.

  3. You’ll own real product work: You’ll take a substantial product area from understanding the customer problem through to launch, adoption and iteration.

  4. You’ll work closely with the people building it: Product works directly with users, design, engineering, sales and customer success.

  5. The product has high stakes: Customers rely on Junior for important decisions, so accuracy, reliability and trust matter.

  6. The team is growing with the business: Junior has 75 people across New York, London and Sydney, with an expanding product team.

  7. You can see the impact: You’ll hear directly from customers and see how your decisions affect their work.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll join a product team with two individual-contributor PMs, working closely with the CTO, designers and engineers. You’ll also partner with sales and customer success, and speak directly with customers and users.

The team currently owns around eight product areas between them. As Junior expands its product surface, you’ll take ownership of a substantial area and help shape what gets built next.

What you’ll own
  • Understand customer workflows and identify the problems worth solving.

  • Run customer discovery and speak directly with users.

  • Bring together evidence from customer conversations, demos, pilots, support and product data.

  • Set product direction and priorities for your area.

  • Scope focused MVPs and decide what needs to be excellent at launch.

  • Prototype ideas and work with Design to shape the user experience.

  • Partner with Engineering throughout development and make clear trade-offs together.

  • Define what success looks like, measure results and decide what to improve next.

  • Build adoption by understanding how customers use the product and where they get stuck.

You’ll be responsible for the product outcome, not just the roadmap or requirements document.

How we work
  • Start with the customer: talk to users yourself and understand the work they’re trying to get done.

  • Build and learn quickly: we aim for short shipping cycles, useful feedback and regular iteration.

  • Use judgment on scope: get the details right when accuracy, reliability or customer trust is at stake. For other things, ship a focused first version and improve it with real usage.

  • Work closely with the team: Product, Design and Engineering shape solutions together.

  • Make decisions clear: explain the problem, the trade-offs and how you’ll know whether the work succeeded.

  • Use the tools available: prototype ideas with tools such as Claude Code or Codex when that helps the team explore a solution faster.

Location

This role is based in New York City and works in person five days a week. Junior’s wider team is split across New York, London and Sydney.

What we offer

We want you to do great work, feel good while doing it and have time to recharge. Full-time employees get:

  • Real time to switch off: PTO plus a two-week office break over Christmas

  • Health cover: Medical, dental and vision coverage

  • A stronger start on retirement: A 401(k) with a 3.5% company match

  • A gym membership at Equinox

  • Good food at the office: Breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks

  • Help with your commute: $300 per month in commuter benefits

  • Dinner and a ride home when you’re working after 8pm

  • Quarterly company off-sites each year! to the likes of Barcelona, Cancun, Texas, and Crete!
