In this role, you’ll own our lifecycle engine end-to-end: building and scaling customer journey programs, leading launch and release communications, defining segmentation and messaging for key audiences, and driving measurable improvements in activation, adoption, retention, and expansion through strong instrumentation, experimentation, and repeatable operating systems.
The RoleBuild and scale core lifecycle programs across the customer journey: onboarding, activation, education, retention, expansion, re-engagement.
Own launches + release comms end-to-end: Lead integrated launch and release campaigns from kickoff through post-launch—aligning Product, PMM, Creative, and Lifecycle to deliver both the initial moment and the sustained drumbeat that drives adoption.
Define audience segmentation and messaging: Translate core positioning into segment-specific narratives, value props, and triggers that resonate across different developer and team profiles.
Design for delight and measurable impact: Create experiences that users genuinely enjoy while moving key metrics (activation, engagement, retention); identify behavioral levers and ensure the right events and funnels are instrumented.
Build scalable operating systems: Establish repeatable processes, templates, and workflows that increase quality and velocity, and make what works easy to repeat.
Bring a growth and experimentation mindset: Partner with Engineering and Data to define success criteria, implement tracking, and run experiments that validate segmentation, messaging, and channel strategy.
Experienced marketer: 5–7+ years in lifecycle, growth, or retention marketing (ideally B2B SaaS or developer tools).
Technical and data-savvy: Comfortable with lifecycle tooling (email/in-app/push), segmentation, triggers, and product analytics.
Developer-native communicator: Strong writing with an authentic voice that resonates with technical audiences.
Builder and experimenter: You thrive in ambiguity, create structure from scratch, and default to testing and iteration.
Scrappy and resourceful: Comfortable doing more with less; you’ll roll up your sleeves and own execution end-to-end.
PLG fluency: Deep understanding of product-led growth motions and technical buyer journeys.
Fast mover: You ship quickly, learn from real signal, and iterate rather than aiming for perfection upfront.
Cross-functional partner: Strong collaborator with Product, Engineering, Sales, Data, and Customer Success.
Analytical rigor: Fluent in metrics, experimentation, and translating insights into scalable programs.
