Job Summary & Responsibilities Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Strategic partner to core Business Line.
- Builds a core business review that clearly states the strategic priorities of the business line along with the related success measures and projected financial outcomes to establish the direction of the business, products, and markets. This is accomplished by consistent analysis of the market place/competition; leadership direction of the organization and identification of client needs.
- Development of the business plan and forecast. Monitors the business performance in accordance with industry/market/plan and year over year growth.
- Produces monthly Profit and Loss statements with analysis and explanation to business leaders and utilizes leading indicator Business Performance Measures to assess business direction and pending risk/opportunity.
- Understands and adheres to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
- Assists management with ad-hoc reporting and requests from the line of business.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Excel and overall MS Office suite and a working knowledge of relevant software applications. VBA and Power BI a plus.
- Strong analytical ability and creative problem solving-skills, including knowledge and application of financial concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of the banking industry and related financial governance and risk management principles and strategies.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and maturity to build relationships and interact from a business as well as a technical standpoint.
- Ability to reason and make sound decisions.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum 10 years' experience in Finance, Business or a related field with 4 years' managerial experience or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 15 years' higher education and/or work experience with 4 years' managerial experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Master's Degree, Financial Services or Banking experience.
