As part of the Brand Strategy team at Lippincott, you will play an integral role in solving complex brand challenges for ambitious companies, partnering with teams across the firm to create and bring solutions to life through strategy, experience, marketing, and design. You will apply analytical and creative thinking in everything you do to tackle transformative initiatives for clients. Get ready to consult globally across industries on a range of branding challenges, including brand positioning, messaging, brand architecture, naming, and marketing and customer strategy.
As an Associate, you will be responsible for clear and rigorous evaluations of client situations that inform compelling strategic solutions. You will be viewed as an authority on research findings and implications, with the team looking to you for create hypotheses and recommendations—varying from breakthrough big brand ideas to elegant architecture models and more. You will also lead as a people and work plan manager, driving the team’s content creation. You’ll often own individual work-streams of the project and be the bridge shaping input from adjacent practice areas (e.g., design, experience) to help solve the core strategic branding problem.
What you’ll do
Distill insights from diverse inputs (e.g., client documents, research, best practices, market trends) to frame the situation and identify preliminary brand opportunities
Manage day-to-day project work plans and adjust to shifting client demands
Coordinate development of client presentations and flow
Collaborate with designers and experience strategists to shape multi-disciplinary solutions to the challenge at hand
Motivate, develop and guide junior staff
Quickly pick up skills and knowledge in new areas of branding in order to advise on client challenges holistically
Be a key point-person with clients and other stakeholders and own the team’s expertise on key topics
Present to both internal case teams and external client teams, and facilitate workshops
Conduct in-depth interviews with client leadership and customers
What makes you a great candidate:
At least 5 years full-time experience in consulting, business strategy, brand strategy, brand management or planning
MBA or equivalent welcomed, but not necessary
Outstanding writing, communications and interpersonal skills (incl. PowerPoint)
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and push the thinking to solve challenges that extend the scope of brand into experience and marketing
Ability to connect the dots between deep business understanding and brand implications
Passionate about thriving in a collaborative team environment that leverages both junior and senior team members
Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to bring a structured problem-solving approach to open-ended directions or changes in priorities
An appetite for learning and tackling challenging topics across a diverse range of clients/ industries

The applicable base pay for this role is $115,000 - $150,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible for performance-based incentives.
