Serve as the company's first U.S. attorney by bringing U.S. litigation expertise into product development. Advise clients' in-house teams, analyze litigation data and trends, design workflow templates and legal content for the platform, and partner with product, engineering, and leadership to ensure the technology reflects real-world litigation practice.

Our client, Latin America’s first AI unicorn, backed by Founders Fund and Sequoia, has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist in its search for a Litigation Strategist — one of the first attorneys on its U.S. team. The company builds software that defends businesses against high volumes of individual litigation: gathering evidence, detecting fraud, supporting strategy, and generating responses at a fraction of the usual cost. It is growing quickly, with an enterprise client base that includes some of the largest technology companies in the world, and is now building out its U.S. presence.

As Litigation Strategist, you’ll bring U.S. litigation expertise into the core of the company’s product work, with direct client exposure — helping in-house legal teams unlock the full potential of the platform while ensuring the technology reflects how litigation actually works in practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients’ in-house lawyers to understand pain points and opportunities across high-volume litigation, and help adapt the company’s approach to U.S. law.
  • Analyze litigation data — outcomes, judicial behavior, and claim patterns — to optimize product design.
  • Lead the design and development of workflow templates, frameworks, and legal content embedded in the platform for use by in-house teams and outside counsel.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Approximately five to eight years of litigation experience, with strong academic and law firm credentials.
  • A practice built defending large volumes of similar individual cases — consumer, financial services, insurance defense, product liability, pharma, mass-tort defense, or consumer and mass arbitration (AAA).
  • Excellent drafting and writing, sharp analytical and pattern-recognition instincts, and comfort working with data.
  • The executive presence to be credible with clients, and an interest in partnering closely with product teams — the company will help the right person grow into that work.
  • J.D. and active U.S. bar membership, New York preferred.

This is a rare chance to join a top-three global AI legal tech company as one of its first U.S. attorneys — working directly with the founders, helping build the U.S. function as the company scales, and having visible, outsized impact from day one.

Compensation will be competitive and tailored to the individual, with a base of $250,000 to $300,000 plus a meaningful equity stake. Total compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.

Solutus Legal Search has been exclusively retained for this search. Resumes submitted directly to our client will be forwarded to Solutus for review and evaluation. Given the heavy volume of applicants, we will only respond directly to applicants whose background aligns with our client’s hiring criteria. We appreciate your understanding.
