The Problems You'll Solve

At Carta, we’re redefining the way private markets operate. Stakeholders in the private markets space face complex, high-risk operational challenges, especially during transitions and onboarding. With your unique combination of strategic finance expertise, operational leadership, and relationship management, you’ll deliver a seamless experience to our largest and most sophisticated clients.

As a Client Partner, you will serve as more than just a subject matter expert—you’ll be a strategic advisor and transformation leader, orchestrating cross-functional success from late-stage sales through go-live.

As a Client Partner, you will:

  • Improve win rates by providing executive-level support to Go-To-Market teams in late-stage sales cycles, helping close strategic, enterprise-level deals
  • Lead high-level discovery engagements with prospective clients, combining your industry acumen with Carta’s best practices to shape tailored operational and financial solutions
  • Act as the primary point of continuity for clients throughout onboarding and implementation, serving as a steady, trusted advocate aligned with C-level objectives
  • Navigate critical handoffs across internal teams (Sales, Product, Delivery, Support) with an eye toward minimizing complexity, risk, and friction for our clients
  • Collaborate with Product and R&D to inform scalable processes or product enhancements when bespoke or complex client needs arise
  • Lead expectation-setting and alignment discussions across a wide range of stakeholders: internal Carta executives and client stakeholders that include sponsors, deal teams, back/middle office, and other operational partners
  • Project manage all aspects of the conversion including people, systems, and data migration
  • Develop internal executive oversight and governance frameworks to proactively manage risk, maintain visibility, and ensure accountability across high-value projects
  • Help clients define success and identify measurable outcomes, ensuring they realize the full strategic value of Carta’s platform and services
  • Deliver high-impact client education by showcasing Carta’s value proposition  and data/analytics capabilities
  • Build scalable methods for managing custom product feature requests without compromising roadmap clarity or delivery timelines
  • Cultivate long-term executive relationships, turning clients into internal champions, customer references, and long-term Carta advocates
The Team You'll Work With

This role reports to the Head of Customer Success, LP Portfolio Analytics,  within the broader LP Portfolio Analytics  practice at Carta. You’ll help lay the groundwork for this new function, providing a strong foundation for process maturity, scalable playbooks, and high-caliber client engagement.

Your success depends on deep cross-functional engagement—with Go-To-Market, Product & R&D, Operations,  and the Executive team. You’ll need to combine financial and operational expertise with client-facing precision and strategic thinking.

We’re looking for an executive-caliber partner capable of representing Carta effectively at the highest levels of a client’s organization, including CFOs, fund administrators, and boards.

About You
  • 10+ years of experience in Private Markets or Finance roles, including experience in relationship management, accounting, and  portfolio monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to manage executive-level client relationships and navigate the complexity of enterprise onboarding, shared services, and multi-stakeholder governance
  • Proven track record of implementing technology- and automation-enabled transformations in finance and operations
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills; experience negotiating client operating models
  • Data-informed mindset; capable of using KPIs, health metrics, and forecasting to drive outcomes and communicate ROI to executive stakeholders
  • Exceptionally organized, with strong program management skills—able to orchestrate work across Sales, Delivery, and Product teams
  • Executive presence with the ability to gain trust quickly and influence change among CFOs, CIOs, COOs, and private market asset owners and servicers
  • Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity environments, quickly developing strategies and solutions where none previously existed
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for building – you're motivated by the opportunity to architect a function, team, or process from the ground up
