GLG is seeking a tenacious, results-oriented Account Manager to join our Healthcare/Life Sciences team. In this pivotal client-facing role, you will support pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic clients, playing a vital part in GLG’s relationships with leading global corporations. 

You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding an existing book of business, identifying new stakeholders within named accounts, and selling GLG’s full suite of insight products. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you can drive commercial success and grow professionally. 

 

Specific Responsibilities Include: 

  • Account Growth: Maintain and expand an existing book of business; identify, develop, and capture new business opportunities within current logos. 
  • Strategic Outreach: Identify target prospects in priority BUs and drive outreach strategies to develop the sales pipeline. 
  • Account Mapping: Build and update comprehensive account maps detailing key departments and stakeholders. 
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers across all seniority levels (Manager to C-level) and functions. 
  • Pitching & Presentations: Develop compelling pitch materials and deliver high-impact presentations that articulate the value of GLG’s full service suite. 
  • Commercial Strategy: Work alongside sales leadership to develop account plans and uncover new growth opportunities. 
  • Operational Excellence: Meticulously track the sales pipeline in CRM, following all sales processes and providing accurate KPI reporting to senior management. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Research) to ensure seamless execution and delivery of research projects. 
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry news and client developments to identify emerging business needs. 
  • Client Engagement: Organize and execute internal/external client meetings, including regular travel to client sites to build long-term partnerships. 

 

An Ideal Candidate Will Have: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a life sciences field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics). 
  • Experience: 2–5 years of sales experience (Inside Sales, Business Development, or Medical Representation) within Healthcare, Pharma, MedTech, or Biotech. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry, including therapy/device development lifecycles, regulatory compliance, and market trends. 
  • Proven Track Record: Experience in subscription-based account management with a history of securing renewals and hitting growth targets. 
  • Expert Communication: Outstanding written and oral communication skills with the ability to navigate complex client organizations. 
  • Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce; experience with sales support tools (e.g., Groove, SalesLoft) is a plus. 
  • Professionalism: The highest level of integrity and the initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$72,000$72,000 USD
