Manages Romantasy book selection, editorial feedback, audience trends, member-focused marketing campaigns, advertising, campaign analytics, A/B testing, market research, and feature development recommendations. The role oversees cross-functional business processes, maintains operational data, creates stakeholder presentations, and optimizes campaigns using performance insights, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
What you will do...
- Assign titles to full-time and freelance readers, review and synthesize feedback, present recommendations, and deliver on deadlines.
- Manage a well-organized database and operational process for selecting Romantasy books.
- Work with the creative team to conceptualize and create Meta, TikTok, and YouTube ads that target the Romantasy audience.
- Stay up to date on trends in the Romantasy community and think of ways to participate in them.
- Work cross-functionally to manage the various business processes required to deliver a great member experience.
- Own marketing efforts for existing Allurial campaigns across the product/service, including gifting campaigns, rejoin marketing, and large member experience campaigns.
- Analyze the performance of past campaigns to recommend improvements and optimizations for future campaigns.
- Organize and analyze data to find trends; input findings into well maintained spreadsheets and charts for stakeholder review.
- Gather feedback from members to develop a well-organized list of ideas for feature development.
- Create organized and well-formatted decks, memos, and other work products and present to stakeholders.
- You are familiar with what it takes to build something from scratch in a resource constrained environment and you are ready for the challenge.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business or related field.
- 4 years of experience in a marketing, editorial, content development, fandom, agency, or other entertainment industry-related role.
- Experience creating organized and well-formatted decks, memos, and other work products and presenting to stakeholders.
- Experience with budgeting, ROI and forecasting across marketing channels such as direct mail, email, and digital.
- Experience setting the strategy and roadmap for new product features.
- Experience analyzing campaign data with Excel to determine results and inform future marketing strategies.
- Experience with building, monitoring and reporting on A/B testing using multi-variant tools (e.g. Klaviyo, Meta, TikTok, Salesforce).
- Experience with market research including surveys, focus groups, and competitive analysis.
- This is an in-office role. You are expected to work from BOTM’s office in New York, NY 4 days per week.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Salary Range: $207,376 - $210,000 per year
