About the role...
You will...
- Support the full lifecycle of M&A transactions—from sourcing and assessment to due diligence and integration
- Conduct market and competitive research to find opportunities aligned with Duolingo’s strategic priorities
- Build financial models and perform valuation analyses for potential acquisitions
- Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, and legal teams during the evaluation and execution of deals
- Prepare investment memos and strategic presentations for senior leadership and Board audiences
- Assist in integration planning to ensure acquired businesses and teams are set up for success
- Contribute to strategic projects beyond M&A that influence company-wide direction
You have...
- 2–4 years of relevant experience, such as in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, or corporate development
- Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings and collaborate across teams
- A proactive and adaptable attitude, with comfort navigating ambiguous and evolving priorities
Exceptional candidates will have...
- Experience supporting or executing M&A transactions in the consumer tech
- Familiarity with working closely alongside product and engineering teams
- Exposure to fast-paced, cross-functional environments where strategic thinking and execution are closely linked
- A demonstrated ability to connect company strategy with external market dynamics
We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.
This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
