Overview
The Manager, Cross Border Destination Marketing, Southeast Asia is responsible for supporting the development and execution of destination marketing initiatives that drive cross-border travel, spend, and consumer engagement across key Southeast Asian markets. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver integrated marketing programs that promote travel and commerce opportunities within the region.
The Manager will collaborate with tourism boards, merchant partners, issuers, travel ecosystem partners, and cross-functional teams to execute marketing campaigns, strengthen partnerships, and leverage insights to optimize program performance. This role reports to the Director, Cross Border Destination Marketing or Head of Integrated Marketing and Communications, Southeast Asia.
Role
1. Strategy Execution & Market Support
- Support the implementation of cross-border destination marketing strategies aligned with business priorities and market opportunities.
- Monitor travel, consumer, and spending trends to identify opportunities for marketing initiatives.
- Contribute market insights and recommendations that support regional growth objectives.
2. Destination Marketing Campaigns
- Execute destination marketing campaigns across Southeast Asia to drive awareness, travel consideration, and spending.
- Coordinate integrated marketing activities across digital, social, PR, partnerships, and events.
- Support content development, campaign delivery, and performance tracking to optimize results.
3. Partnership Management
- Build and maintain relationships with tourism boards, travel partners, merchants, issuers, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
- Support the execution of co-marketing initiatives and partnership programs.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of joint marketing activities.
4. Cross-Border Ecosystem Activation
- Assist in developing and executing consumer engagement initiatives, including cardholder offers, travel promotions, and loyalty campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance traveler and consumer experiences.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen cross-border marketing activities through partnerships and consumer insights.
5. Insights & Performance Measurement
- Utilize available data, consumer insights, and market intelligence to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
- Support reporting, dashboard development, and performance measurement activities.
- Provide campaign results and recommendations to stakeholders to improve future initiatives.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Communications, Product, Sales, Advisors/Consulting, Digital, and Data teams to deliver integrated marketing programs.
- Support regional and local market teams in executing destination marketing activities.
- Share best practices and learnings across markets to enhance program effectiveness.
All About You
- 6-8 years of experience in marketing, destination marketing, travel and tourism marketing, partnerships, or related fields.
- Experience supporting multi-market marketing campaigns and partnership initiatives.
- Understanding of travel, tourism, retail, payments, or digital ecosystems.
- Ability to analyze data and market insights to support business recommendations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed and cross-functional environment.
