Position Overview

This role sits within the Business Planning team inside the Account Success Center of Excellence and is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution, process governance, and operational rollout of compensation programs and quota issuance for Customer Success Managers (CSMs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Compensation Execution & Governance: Execute the incentive framework for CSMs, ensuring program alignment with business objectives and operational guidelines. Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day compensation governance and escalation questions.
  • Quota Issuance & Administration: Manage the end-to-end operational process for CSM quota issuance. Maintain user attribute accuracy across systems to ensure correct, timely quota assignments at scale.
  • Data Pipelines & Attainment: Develop and maintain data pipelines required for accurate and timely attainment calculations, ensuring data integrity across compensation systems.
  • Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks, data errors, and process gaps to drive continuous improvements in tooling, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Sales, Renewals, Business Intelligence, Strategy & Operations, and Finance teams to align on compensation schedules, data inputs, and cross-team workflows.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Analyze compensation and quota performance data to track program effectiveness, presenting functional updates and data-driven recommendations to team leadership.
Requirements
  • 4–6 years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, business operations, or compensation administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational programs and workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of incentive compensation frameworks, data governance principles, and business process design.
  • Practical data engineering experience, including hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines (SQL, ETL/ELT workflows)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience presenting operational data to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively across global time zones; willingness to travel quarterly if required.
Desired Skills
  • Direct experience with Customer Success or Sales compensation models.
  • Strong domain knowledge of Customer Success functions and metrics.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Salesforce or similar enterprise CRM and compensation software platforms.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $117,400 - $177,600 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $140,900 - $193,700 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
