Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Manager, Investor Relations to join our Investor Relations.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

The Manager, Investor Relations is responsible for supporting the Company’s engagement with the investment community and the core investor relations processes, including quarterly earnings, investor conferences, and the Investor Day. Working closely with senior leaders, the Manager prepares investor materials, tracks sell-side and shareholder activity, and translates complex financial and business information into clear, accurate messaging. The role offers exposure to executive management, while building in-depth knowledge of the health insurance business.

You will report into the Associate Director, Investor Relations.

Work Location: This position is based in our New York office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $135,792.00$178,227.00 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Quarterly earnings. Assist with the quarterly earnings process by supporting preparation of the earnings release, prepared remarks, Q&A, and coordinating cross-functional input to help ensure accuracy and consistent messaging.
  • Sell-side and market intelligence. Monitor sell-side coverage, consensus estimates, and peer and industry developments, compare analyst models to internal expectations, and synthesize analyst and investor sentiment into concise insights for key stakeholders across the organization, including executive management.
  • Investor engagement. Coordinate and manage investor meetings, conferences, and non-deal roadshows, and support relationships with equity research analysts and institutional investors.
  • Targeting and outreach. Leverage data and analytics to identify and target investors, and support the development and execution of outreach and engagement strategies that strengthen and diversify the shareholder base.
  • Shareholder and market intelligence. Track ownership and trading activity through stock-surveillance partners and report trends and insights to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years experience in investor relations or sell-side equity research.
  • Proven ability to translate  complex financial and business information into clear, concise, and insightful messages for internal and external audiences.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including financial modeling and valuation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%.

Bonus points:

  • Prior experience in insurance, healthcare or financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders and managing highly visible projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to drive actionable results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Investor Relations and market intelligence platforms such as FactSet and S&P Capital Access.
