Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of lifecycle email marketing programs across Hearst Magazines' portfolio, including ongoing campaigns, automated customer journeys, and key go-to-market initiatives.
- Develop audience segmentation strategies that drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and long-term customer value.
- Build, optimize, and scale automated lifecycle programs, including onboarding, retention, winback, and behavioral trigger campaigns.
- Partner closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, Product, Data, and other cross-functional teams to deliver personalized, customer-centric experiences that align with brand objectives.
- Analyze campaign performance across key metrics, including engagement, click-through rate, conversion, and retention, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Manage an ongoing testing and optimization roadmap to continuously improve campaign performance and customer experiences.
- Champion lifecycle marketing best practices, personalization strategies, and emerging email marketing trends to drive innovation across the portfolio.
- Help build scalable lifecycle marketing processes that support membership growth while strengthening audience loyalty across Hearst's brands.
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
- 2+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, email, performance, or digital marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing and executing email marketing campaigns that drive measurable business results.
- Proficiency with email service providers (ESPs), marketing automation platforms, and audience segmentation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and develop strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with experience working across creative, product, marketing, and analytics teams.
- A proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset with a passion for testing, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in our New York City office on a hybrid schedule of four days per week.

The base salary range for this role is $66,000-$77,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
