Job Description:

The Marketplace team is responsible for all elements of strategic partnerships for the dentsu Media practice in the US. Housed within Amplifi, the Investment, Activation, Partnership and Solutions arm of dentsu, the team serves as the center of excellence for marketplace intelligence across dentsu and its media agencies (Carat, dentsuX, iProspect).

The Marketplace team translates client business needs, dentsu’s strategic and commercial priorities, as well as emergent and established trends across the industry and society into strategic, value-driven, and beneficial partnerships. In addition, the team sets the strategic partnership agenda for dentsu in the marketplace, new business, and product/solution design within the organization. 

 

Role Purpose 

The Manager, Platforms will report to the Director and manage partnerships across programmatic and digital first partners, both internally and externally. This role supports all aspects of partnership operations and management, including supporting the creation of partnership strategy, ensuring excellence in execution of partnerships, negotiating and delivering partnership agreements, managing communications, and ensuring partnerships delivery against core objectives. 

The Manager will also be tasked with creating and distributing internal resources and communications with the support of the Director and VP. The Manager will work with the team to ensure their core responsibilities contribute towards a cohesive partnership strategy and vision for dentsu. 

This role aligns across several departments within dentsu, including technology, media, investment, innovation, activation, trading and planning. Therefore, an ability to work with multiple stakeholders to create solutions for all is essential. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Relationship management across key partnerships 

  • Manage day-to-day needs and communication of partnerships, ensuring excellence in execution with team support 

  • Own various reporting needs, providing analytical support and insights to inform partnership strategy and business decisions 

  • Support team leadership to execute strategic vision 

  • Be a subject-matter-expert in assigned specialism within the Platform team 

  • Work closely with Investment, Activation, and Amplifi Solutions to ensure partnership approach meets the needs of our clients and aligns to dentsu standards 

  • Inform and educate Investment & Activation teams on new and updated partner offerings, agreements, and deal details 

  • Support the creation and execution of dentsu and client partnership agreements 

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, stakeholders, and timelines simultaneously 

  • Support strategic planning and partner initiatives through the development of executive-ready presentations and materials 

  • Stay current on partner, industry, and marketplace developments, serving as a source of insight and education for internal teams 

  • Be seen as an integrator and problem solver both internally and externally 

 

We are looking for candidates who: 

  • Can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring ideas translate into measurable impact 

  • Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and aligning varying stakeholders across agencies, investment, activation, and commercial teams 

  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and bring structured thinking to complex marketplace challenges 

  • Communicate effectively across levels of the organization, with the ability to present insights and recommendations clearly and confidently 

  • Embrace change and contribute positively to organizational transformation and evolving operating models 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (marketing, advertising, business, math, communications preferred) 

  • 4+ years’ experience within the media industry as a partnership or investment member 

  • Consistent and exceptional project management 

  • Ability to properly delegate tasks, multitask and keep deadlines 

  • Thoughtful verbal and written communications, presentation, and analytical skills 

  • MSFT product suite expertise (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) 

  • Ability to retain professionalism in all situations 

  • Team player with “go-getter” demeanor

  • Passion for problem-solving and collaboration across teams 

  • Ability to translate complex ideas into actionable solutions 

  • Regarded externally as a reliable, dependable colleague and business partner 

Additional Information:

At dentsu, we believe great work happens when we’re connected. Our way of working combines flexibility with in-person collaboration to spark ideas and strengthen our teams. Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
