Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $328Mm in funding, including our Series D, at a $3B valuation from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, Menlo Ventures, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, and others.

The Opportunity:

Grow Therapy is looking for a Manager, Strategic Communications to help build a sophisticated external communications operation for a brand that is all about personal and professional growth. You will be contributing to making Grow a household name, known as the most trusted authority in mental health, modernizing how care is delivered, and positively impacting society on a mass scale.

In this role you will turn product, clinical, and research work into stories that build credibility with consumers, media, employers, payors, primary care partners, and top talent alike. You will own proactive newsmaking around company milestones while handling reactive moments with calm, sound judgment. You will partner closely with leaders from across the company, and you will report to the Head of Strategic Communications.

Your responsibilities will include:

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own PR execution for Grow's priority initiatives, increasing our share of voice relative to competitors and positioning Grow as a go-to source on topics such as youth mental health, social media, connection, coping skills, personal growth and AI's role in psychological health.

  • Turn product, clinical, and research work into compelling stories, packaging data, benchmark research, advisory work, and client insights into media moments that build trust and distinguish Grow in the market.

  • Lead company visibility around key milestones, including executive hires, awards, partner moments, rebrand news, and year-end momentum stories.

  • Build distinct storylines for consumers, business and tech media, employers, payors, primary care partners, clinical researchers, and top tech talent, and activate the right messengers to carry them, from executives and clinicians to providers, investors, and external researchers.

  • Keep earned media, executive social, blog and Substack, and dynamic social working off one shared story calendar, strengthening reporter relationships and managing reactive issues as they arise.

You’ll Be a Good Fit If:

  • You can turn complex product, research, and business updates into clear, engaging stories that both consumer and business audiences understand.

  • You have run integrated campaigns across earned media, owned content, executive channels, events, partnerships, and social, and you write and edit the core materials yourself, including pitches, press releases, FAQs, talking points, blog posts, and briefing docs.

  • You build and maintain strong relationships with reporters, editors, creators, and other trusted third parties, and you lead proactive newsmaking while handling reactive issues with calm judgment.

  • You work cross-functionally with product, clinical, marketing, legal, and leadership teams to keep messaging aligned, and you prep spokespeople and executives for interviews, launches, events, and sensitive moments.

  • You manage agencies, timelines, approvals, and multiple fast-moving work streams at once, and you coach teammates and improve processes to strengthen future campaigns.
