Our commitment to integrity, ingenuity, agility, and ambition drives us, and we’re proud to have been recognised as the “Best Business Team” by The American Lawyer.
This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.

Join a strategic, ambitious, and innovative Client Value team that's rewriting how legal services are priced, delivered, and experienced. We're commercially savvy, naturally collaborative, and intrinsically innovative and we're looking for a Manager ready to make waves with us.

This high-impact, fast-paced, high-visibility role partners closely with lawyers, clients, and colleagues across Finance, Client Development, and Legal Project Management. You'll take ownership of pricing strategy and execution across a range of matters and clients, helping move us beyond the billable hour, improve profitability, and deliver greater value. You'll bring rigor and commercial judgment to everything you do. You’ll lead or support fee negotiations and mentor analysts as you grow with the team.

What You’ll Do

Pricing Strategy & Execution

  • Own end-to-end pricing proposals across AFAs, fixed fees, retainers, and value-based models, from scoping and assumptions through to delivery.
  • Manage live pricing requests, RFPs, panel submissions, and fee negotiations independently and under tight deadlines.
  • Lead or support fee negotiations with clients and partners, holding a position backed by the economics.
  • Build commercial, client-centric pricing strategies that are profitable and sustainable.
  • Apply sound commercial judgment to balance client value with firm profitability and assess risk on each proposal.
  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance, analyze variances, and report on timekeeper utilization, hours, and rates to support matter management.

Innovation & Model Development

  • Contribute to and begin to lead the development of new pricing models and frameworks, which leverage AI‑enabled tools and data analysis techniques to accelerate pricing insights, that move us beyond time-based billing.
  • Use emerging AI capabilities to create and refine pricing menus, benchmarking tools, and cost models aligned to service offerings.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve team processes, tools, and knowledge management resources.
  • Maintain and enhance pricing trackers, fee estimate logs, and enablement tools.
  • Challenge the status quo — look for better, smarter, and more innovative ways to deliver pricing support.

Data & Insight

  • Independently analyze historic matter data and performance metrics to inform pricing decisions.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and compelling narratives for attorneys and clients.
  • Contribute to the development of playbooks, toolkits, and self-serve resources for pricing enablement.
  • Support the development of mechanisms to measure adoption of recommended pricing approaches.

Collaboration & Relationship Building

  • Partner with Legal Project Management, Finance, Client Development, and Practice Group teams to support commercially smart pricing outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver training and education to attorneys on Goodwin's pricing approach and commercial best practices, and mentor analysts on pricing work.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, key clients.
  • Work as one team with Strategic Pricing colleagues, sharing approaches and lessons learned to establish best practices and deliver white glove service to attorneys across the firm.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or finance in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage pricing requests independently and to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a genuine passion for value, not just rates.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, dynamic financial modeling, scenario analyses) and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • A strategic thinker who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Excel at an advanced level, or similar).
  • Self-starter, highly organized and detail-oriented go-getter able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Professional working experience in Business Strategy or Management Consulting firm
  • Experience building pricing models or leading pricing transformation projects.
  • Law firm pricing experience, or client-side experience managing outside counsel spend
  • Familiarity with legal service delivery models including ALSPs, LPM, and tech-enabled solutions.
  • Background in handling litigation or dispute resolution matters is a plus.
  • A sense of humor and a love of doing things differently.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Quality, accuracy, and speed of pricing outputs across your portfolio of matters.
  • Positive feedback from attorneys and clients on the pricing support you provide.
  • Contribution to team innovation, process improvement, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Adoption of pricing models and frameworks you help develop.
