About the Role

At Alpha, you will be pivotal in leading engagements to identify and implement solutions for a range of issues facing asset and wealth managers. Over the course of each project, you will collect and analyze data, prepare and test hypotheses, and present recommendations to the client to solve their unique business & technology challenges. Primary Responsibilities

  • Managing project execution and a team of consultants ensuring the successful delivery of client engagements, including planning the day-to-day work of the team, facilitating client interviews and workshops, structuring client deliverables and ensuring Alpha’s standards for quality are met
  • Creating a culture of continuous learning for Alpha team members, and actively mentoring to develop their skillset as they progress in their careers
  • Supporting Alpha FMC’s business development by driving the creation of client proposals, authoring thought leadership, and maintaining strong relationships with past and prospective clients
  • Contributing to the wider Alpha community by making innovative and proactive contributions to one or more of Alpha’s business management or practice areas
  • Maintaining a broad understanding of the challenges facing the Asset & Wealth Management Industry and demonstrating subject matter expertise in at least one area in demand by clients

  • 5 years or more of consulting or project management experience within or adjacent to financial services, preferably within Asset & Wealth Management
  • Solid problem-solving skills. Familiarity with recognized consulting frameworks and techniques; experience of research, quantitative analysis, structured problem solving and executive communication techniques
  • Proven presentation skills; the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner
  • Notable work in building and sustaining lasting relationships with clients
  • Exposure to operating model design and implementations impacting business processes and/or IT solutions in at least one business area such as Investments, Distribution, Middle & Back Office processes and outsourcing
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams with empathy and collaboration
  • A desire to innovate, think creatively, and contribute to firm growth
  • Comfort working in a hybrid model with the flexibility to travel when required

The anticipated base salary for this role varies based on geographic location and is structured across three compensation zones. These zones reflect local market conditions and cost of labor. Geographic placement is determined by the employee’s primary work location.
Zone A | $163,000 – $186,200
Applies to candidates working in designated high-cost metropolitan areas, including: Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; and Washington, DC, as well as remote roles based in Massachusetts or the New York Tri-State Area.
Zone B | $135,000 – $170,000
Applies to candidates working in key metropolitan markets, including: Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Denver, CO; and Philadelphia, PA, as well as remote roles based in Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Colorado.
Zone C | $125,000 – $160,075
Applies to all other U.S. locations not listed above.
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and work location.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. We are committed to equitable and transparent compensation practices across all locations.
