Market Development Representative

 

Promote products on behalf of the company at all levels of the channel (architect, dealer, builder, and contractor). Develop and maintain expertise on product features and benefits, installation techniques, and the WOLF Outdoor Living Contractor Loyalty Rewards Program. Responsible for the setup and breakdown of all trade and contractor shows. Coordinate product blitzes throughout the assigned territory.

  • Make field product introduction calls on contractors, architects, and builders on behalf of our dealer base in the marketplace.
  • Make field-level sales calls and provide product training and merchandising support to customers.
  • Participate in dealer sales calls when appropriate.
  • Facilitate sales promotions, marketing, and merchandising for WOLF Outdoor Living customers.
  • Coordinate and participate in market blitzes for all WOLF Outdoor Living products.
  • Assist with market blitzes in other territories when appropriate.
  • Promote products on behalf of WOLF Outdoor Living and work closely with WOLF Sales Consultants.
  • Support, promote, and educate customers on the WOLF Outdoor Living Contractor Loyalty Rewards Program.
  • Attend trade and contractor shows and participate in dealer training.
  • Be willing to occasionally work weekends, as needed, to support trade shows, contractor events, and other business needs.
  • Plan or assist with custom display work.
  • Work with OEM manufacturer representatives when appropriate.
  • Track contractor calls in Salesforce.
  • Provide timely follow-up and feedback on new contractor opportunities.
  • Conduct product demonstrations with contractor groups.
  • Set up, break down, and work trade and contractor shows.
  • Participate in local building associations.
  • Effectively communicate and present the WOLF value proposition in relation to customers' needs.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all account objectives and customer needs are met.
  • Safely operate a company pickup truck (Commercial Motor Vehicle weighing less than or equal to 26,000 pounds GVW) to transport samples, displays, and products.
  • Adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all elements of the Core Values and use the Quality System, including ISO procedures, corrective and preventive actions, the customer complaint policy, and best practices to achieve continuous process improvement and ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional, courteous, respectful, and ethical manner with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Use good judgment and common sense.
Experience & Education

Required

  • Read and write English.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, and occasionally work weekends as needed.
  • Computer and software proficiency.

Preferred

  • College degree.
  • CRM software experience (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Social media proficiency.
