Job Announcement:

Market Intelligence Summer Associate

Amid clinical workforce shortages, rising healthcare costs and ongoing concerns about inequity, IMPaCT unlocks the power of the grassroots community health workforce.

Here at IMPaCT Care, we get out of bed every day to remake the American health workforce. We find, train and enable Community Health Workers: caring people who keep their communities healthy. We have built the largest and most scientifically-proven Community Health Worker platform in the country, used across 20 states by 50 organizations like Kaiser Permanente, the Veterans Affairs Administration and United Way. Across multiple randomized controlled trials IMPaCT has achieved outcomes frequently believed to be out of reach, including $2,500 annual savings per patient, improved mental health and a Net Promoter Score of 94. We’re making waves: on CNN, in WaPo, at the Fed…there is even a new Medicare billing code for Community Health Workers that is modeled after IMPaCT.

We’re changing the game, but also know the importance of enjoying the journey. That’s why we have made sure that IMPaCT Care is the place to be! We provide competitive compensation and equity grants, comprehensive benefits, unlimited PTO and plenty of opportunities for team-building and fun. Plus you get to work from home.

Who you are

We're looking for a razor-sharp MBA or health-related graduate student or recent grad to join our team as a Market Intelligence Summer Associate. You're the ideal candidate if you have a passion for health equity, exceptional research and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact.

In this fully remote role, you'll work closely with our SVP of Growth Lindsey Watson to monitor industry and competitor trends, conduct in-depth research, and synthesize findings into actionable insights that will help us expand the reach of our evidence-based community health worker programs. You thrive in ambiguity, excel at critical thinking, and have a talent for connecting the dots to identify long-term opportunities and risks.

If you're a proactive, strategic thinker who wants to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare landscape and the lives of underserved communities, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments related to healthcare, social determinants of health, and community health workers
  • Research policy issues that impact the community health worker market (e.g., state Medicaid requirements and incentives)
  • Conduct in-depth research using various sources, including industry publications (e.g. Health Affairs, CMS data, KFF reports), financial data, and market intelligence tools
  • Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations, connecting the dots between disparate pieces of information to identify long-term opportunities and risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, finance, services) to support strategic decision-making, providing data-driven insights to guide the organization's growth and impact

What You'll Need

  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data from a wide range of sources, including industry publications, podcasts, and Excel reports
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, connect seemingly unrelated information, and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to embrace the challenges and opportunities of working in an early-stage, fast-paced organization
  • Passion for healthcare and a commitment to driving long-term, sustainable change in the industry
