About Innovation GMU:
The Innovation Service Line guides clients throughout the innovation journey as they develop and launch new or improved products and services spanning a range of verticals. This is accomplished using best-in-class services, including idea screening, concept testing, product testing, price and line optimization, package testing and volumetric forecasting. The Global Modeling Unit (GMU) team within the Innovation service line are methodological “experts” that provide a variety of value-added services. In most cases, value-added services are advanced multivariate data analyses such as regression, GLM, discriminant analysis, MDS, clustering algorithms, and proprietary procedures.
What makes this role important at Ipsos?
We are seeking a Market Research Analyst with a strong quantitative background and expertise in statistical modeling and experimental research methods. The Research Analyst, Marketing Science is a resource for internal and external clients in the design and analysis of data based on statistical procedures. As a Research Analyst, you will provide expertise in the appropriate use of value-added analytical models, including approaches proprietary to Ipsos.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Clean, structure, code, and summarize survey and secondary data
- Use statistical software (SPSS, R, etc.) and business software (Excel) to uncover and evaluate solutions, and assist project staff in running statistical analyses
- Apply programming skills (Excel VBA, Python, etc.) to help automate standard statistical procedures and chart creation.
- Demonstrate your understanding of multivariate analysis and Ipsos proprietary products, and work with Client Service from understanding business questions to design, analysis, and application
- Work from an analytic plan, assemble Excel outputs or PowerPoint decks to provide results and explanations for Client Service
- Consistently ensure the timely delivery of error free work
This might be the job for you if you have:
- BS or MS in Statistics, Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Psychology, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Strong academic foundation in:
- Experimental design (DOE)
- Hypothesis testing
- Regression analysis
- Analysis of variance (ANOVA)
- Linear and generalized linear models
- Sampling methodologies
- Multivariate statistical analysis
- Experience designing and analyzing market research studies, including surveys, pricing research, concept testing, and customer insights projects.
- Ability to design experiments and quasi-experiments to measure causal impact.
- Experience applying statistical methods to business decision-making.
- Proficiency with statistical software such as R, SAS, Python, SPSS, or Stata.
- Experience communicating complex statistical findings to non-technical business stakeholders.

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $55,000 to $70,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
