Crossix is positioned at the center of big data, innovative technology, media, and life sciences.  Our mission is to empower life sciences companies with the data and insights they need to drive patient and provider marketing effectiveness and, ultimately, better patient outcomes.  As part of Veeva, the Crossix team offers the agility of a high-growth team with the stability of a global leader.

The Role
We are hiring recent university graduates to grow the next generation of data analysts through our Analytics Development Program.

The Marketing Data Analyst (MDA) is a member of the internal analytics team focused on product analytics.  This team’s primary function is to produce the analytical reports that are incorporated into Veeva Crossix products and shared with customers.

What this role is (and isn’t):

  • What it IS: A data analytics role. You will be part of our internal analytics team, focusing on backend report generation, quality control, and pressure-testing results. Using SQL, Excel, and our proprietary coding language, you will link marketing data to health data, transforming large datasets into core analytical reports embedded in Veeva Crossix products. Your work will be used to generate the insights our customers use to make business decisions.

  • What it IS NOT: This is not a client-facing consulting role. If you want to spend your days in external client meetings, presenting slide decks, and advising on marketing strategies, check out the Client Services Associate track. This is also not a software engineering role - your focus is on data logic, manipulation, and insights, not building software architecture.

This role is part of Generation Veeva, and as such you can expect:

  • A “learn by doing” environment with challenging and impactful work, where you will be expected to learn quickly and deliver early
  • A collaborative work environment where you will work closely with many levels of our team, from other early-career professionals through senior leaders
  • Mentorship and continuous professional development opportunities, aiding in your immediate and long-term success at Veeva

The anticipated start date is July 2027.

The Analytics Development Program offers two distinct paths. Please review our other track, the Client Services Associate role, to choose the best fit for your skills and interests.

We welcome you to apply to all roles that align with your skills and interests. See all open opportunities here: Generation Veeva Careers

What You'll Do

  • Produce Analytics Reports: Own the end-to-end execution, rigorous quality control, and timely delivery of high-value, recurring analytical reports across a large portfolio.
  • Link Complex Datasets: Connect marketing exposure data to massive, transactional healthcare datasets. Your data manipulation will provide the analytical foundation that helps pharmaceutical and life sciences companies optimize their marketing efforts and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
  • Formulate Analytical Hypotheses: Transform complex client questions into hypotheses that are testable using SQL, Excel, and Crossix’s proprietary analytical coding language.
  • Partner Internally with Client Services: Communicate the technical results and methodology of marketing campaign analyses to our Client Services teams, acting as the subject-matter expert on the underlying data logic.
  • Master Modern Data Tools: Leverage a robust toolkit including SQL, advanced Excel, data visualization suites, and internal platforms to clean, manipulate, and present data effectively.

REQUIREMENTS | We are looking for graduates who meet the following requirements:

  • Technical Foundation: Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python, or a comparable coding language. You have a natural comfort with data structures and a knack for logical, step-by-step problem-solving.
  • High Drive & Performance: A self-starter with a track record of excellence who thrives in a demanding and dynamic environment, and is hungry for rapid professional growth.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and a commitment to rigorous quality control. You take pride in catching small errors before they impact the final product.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share technical insights and methodology with our internal client services teams.
  • Academic Excellence: Bachelor’s degree (any major) with a 3.0 – 4.0 GPA, demonstrating the intellectual curiosity, time management, and work ethic necessary for a high-performance analytics career.
  • Experience Level: This role is designed for upcoming or recent graduates with 0–2 years of post-grad full-time work experience.
  • Location & Presence: You live within about a 45-60 minute commute of our NYC office (or plan to be by your start date) and look forward to collaborating with the team on-site 4 days a week.
  • Unwavering Integrity: Veeva is a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) and a “do the right thing” company. We hold ourselves to high ethical standards and expect honesty and integrity from every team member.

THE PROCESS | Our process is different from most. It is designed to be fast, efficient and respectful. Here are the steps:

  • Application & Assessment: You submit your resume, responses to a few short application questions, and complete a brief online assessment.
  • Application Response (Within 1 Week): We review every application thoroughly. Within about one week of submission, we will notify you via email whether we’d like to move you to the next stage.
  • Initial Interview: You will participate in a 60-minute job interview with a senior member of our team.
  • Case Interview: If we proceed following your initial interview, you will complete an analytics case exercise. This will be a live demonstration of your skills, with no prework required.
  • Final Decision (Within 1 Week): Within about one week of completing your case exercise, we will either extend an official offer or let you know that we are not moving forward.
  • Your Decision (2 Weeks): If extended an offer, you will have two weeks to make your final decision. If you accept, we will hold a spot for you and expect you to show up on your start date. Accepting an offer and continuing to interview for other roles would be an ethical violation in our view.

Compensation

  • Starting base pay: $82,500

Work Authorization: Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Veeva does not provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, OPT, or TN status) for this employment position.
