Use SQL and Python to create marketing workflows and tooling while managing performance marketing and lifecycle programs.
The summary above was generated by AI

Profound is the fastest-growing AI marketing platform, used by 15% of the Fortune 500 including Comcast, Estée Lauder, and Walmart, and innovators like Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. It is where marketing teams do the work: research, briefs, content, campaigns, reporting, all in one place, alongside agents that carry the load with them.

Built on 2B+ real user prompts and growing, Profound’s data shows you what people ask AI and what the models say back. Profound's AI Marketer joins that data with deep context about our customers to find the opportunities worth acting on, and then puts agents to work: automating reporting, drafting content, auditing pages for readability, running competitive research. It measures what works and gets better every day.

The Role

We're hiring a Marketing Engineer to sit on the Marketing team at Profound. You'll build the systems that power Profound’s demand generation engine by driving engagement, converting buyers, and scaling existing relationships.

This is not a traditional growth marketing role. You understand the traditional motions - performance marketing, nurture, lifecycle, ABM - and understand how to scale them with AI. You’ll build and point agents at funnel stages based on business need.

What You'll Do

Build demand systems that identify and act. Build the layer that sits on top of our marketing channels and acts on what it sees.

Close the gaps in conversion. Find and fix funnel leaks. Systematize how leads get scored, routed, and handed to Sales so nothing sits waiting on a human.

Build agents and automations. Design and deploy the agents, workflows, and internal tooling that eliminate manual work across the marketing stack. When something works, codify it. Create templates, automation scripts, and playbooks that scale across segments and geographies.

Build the model behind ABM. Build a proprietary intent model from scratch and support the automation of 1:1 and 1:many campaigns. Work closely with Sales and RevOps so signals accelerate outbound motions.

Drive adoption and expansion. Build lifecycle systems that onboard customers and drive NDR.

Run disciplined experiments. Test the channels, campaigns, and automations nobody else is running, act on what the data tells you, and codify what works into repeatable systems.

Who You Are

5+ years in growth marketing, demand generation, or marketing engineering. We weigh what you've built more heavily than time in seat.

Experience using SQL and Python to build automations and workflows without leaning on engineering support.

Hands-on experience shipping AI agents and LLM-powered tooling that sales and marketing teams actually use. You work in Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent every day.

You’ve owned performance marketing channels (LinkedIn, Meta, Google, CTV) and lifecycle marketing programs in the past, so you understand how to build effective agents on top of them.

Comfortable working in ambiguity, collaborating heavily, and building the plane while flying it. Profound moves incredibly fast, and you’ll need to trust your instincts and just act.

A clear communicator who can translate what you built into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

This is an on-site role in our New York or San Francisco office—designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $140,000–$220,000, plus equity and a full suite of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on your experience and fit.

Note: All official communication from Profound will come from a @tryprofound.com email address. If you're contacted by anyone using a different domain, please disregard and report it as spam.
