Founded in 2009 by David (D.S.) and Kavi (Durga) Moltz, the brand is known for its uniquely distinguished perfumes, candles, and aromatic products. All fragrances and design worlds are original compositions, rooted in specificity, surrealism, and clarity.
With distribution across 600 doors globally and five freestanding stores in NYC and LA, the brand is entering a new phase of growth following Manzanita Capital’s majority investment in 2024.
role overview
The Marketing Intern at D.S. & Durga supports day-to-day operations across sales, marketing, and press — from SKU onboarding with international retail partners and asset deployment to sample tracking, press send outs, and project coordination. This is a hands-on role for a highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is eager to gain real experience at a creative, founder-led fragrance house.
key responsibilities
  • Support studio send-outs for PR, influencer, and account partners
  • Assist with international shipping coordination for retail accounts  Help coordinate lab sample send-outs and trade sampling logistics
  • Maintain and update product spec sheets (Excel) for account partners
  • Distribute marketing and product assets to retail accounts
  • Manage studio inventory of samples, PR product, and print collateral
  • Contribute to 360° marketing campaigns, decks, and creative concepting
  • Support visual merchandising efforts, including retailer correspondence and getting collateral into stores
  • Assist with trade marketing initiatives: sampling plans, lab sample shipping, NLF, and GWP planning
  • Write and edit copy for campaigns and internal training materials, aligning with creative and brand direction
  • Help manage outreach and communications with retail partners, distributors, press, and influencers
  • Track and manage approvals, project kickoffs, and incoming requests
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Digital, Finance, Operations, Creative, and Sales teams

education/experience:
  • Currently pursuing a university degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Passion for the beauty/cosmetics industry
  • Excellent proofreading skills and strong attention to detail

  • Proactively identifies priorities, takes initiative, and keeps relevant parties informed
  • Comfortable identifying issues and helping find solutions

employment details:
  • Part Time
  • 2-3 days per week
  • $22 per hour
language ability:
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
mathematical ability:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
reasoning ability:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
computer skills:
  • MS Office, Google Suite, Figma experience a plus
