Job Description Summary:

Fenwick is excited to offer internship opportunities with our Business Innovation team.
We are building a small, high-impact team of technology interns who will design, build, and deploy AI agents to support how one of the country’s leading technology law firms operates and grows. This isn’t a support role. It’s a founding team experience. You’ll work alongside leadership to architect real agentic workflows that drive business development, intelligence, and marketing strategy across the firm.
If you want to spend your summer pushing AI from theory to production inside a sophisticated, high-stakes environment, this is your role.

Job Description:

What You'll Do:

Working as a cohort of 3 to 4 interns, you’ll scope, build, and validate AI agent workflows targeting three core areas. You’ll translate business requirements into technical architecture, run experiments to measure what works, and iterate based on real user feedback from attorneys and business teams.

  • Business Development: agents that surface prospect intelligence, identify relationship opportunities, and support targeted outreach strategy
  • Business Intelligence: automated pipelines that synthesize market, competitive, and industry data into actionable insights for firm leadership
  • Marketing and Communications: agents that streamline content workflows, campaign support, and engagement tracking

You'll have creative latitude to propose solutions, challenge assumptions, and leave something real behind.

What We're Looking For:
  • Currently enrolled in a CS, data science, information systems, or related technical degree program
  • Hands-on experience with programming (Python preferred) and comfort working with APIs, LLMs, or automation tools
  • Experience translating ideas into working prototypes and measuring whether they actually work. you run experiments, check results, and iterate based on evidence
  • Demonstrated ability to work with non-technical users. you can explain what you’re building, gather feedback, and translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements
  • Cloud platform experience (Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar) preferred
  • A strong inclination to build — you prioritize shipping over endless specification

These internships provide hands‑on experience working with AI tools, data systems, communications strategies, and cross‑functional teams. We're a team that embraces AI and innovation as part of how we work. We're looking for people who are curious about new tools, willing to experiment, and open to evolving how they do their best work.

This Internship can be located in any of the following office locations:

  • Silicon Valley, CA
  • San Francisco, CA
  • Santa Monica, CA
  • Seattle, WA
  • Washington, D.C.
  • New York, NY
  • Boston, MA

The position offers a hybrid schedule which requires at least one day on‑site per week, with additional in‑office days as needed based on business requirements. This role is non‑exempt and may be full-time or part-time, depending on availability and business needs. The internship is expected to run through summer 2026.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college degree program
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment
  • Interest in marketing, communications, AI, and/or data
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and related tools

The anticipated pay rate for our internship is $21 - $25 per hour.
