The multi-trillion dollar insurance industry still relies on phone calls, paper forms, and outdated systems that are slow, error-prone, and easy to fake.

That’s where Axle comes in. We bridge the gap between insurance and other industries through an AI Native Clearinghouse for insurance, enabling our clients to make business decisions in seconds instead of hours while allowing consumers to unlock their most underutilized financial asset - insurance.

About the Role

We are hiring our first dedicated marketing leader: a hands-on Marketing Lead who anchors in product marketing and can flex across the full marketing stack. Today marketing runs on the founders in their spare time - you will own it. This is a zero-to-one seat where you set the strategy and do the work, from sharpening how we position our products to arming the sales team and keeping our founder-led engine humming.

Product marketing is the core of this role. As we scale nationally with partners like Experian, translating our products to the right audiences and equipping partner sales teams to sell Axle becomes a critical bottleneck - and that is the problem you are here to own. You will be a senior generalist: excellent at product marketing, and comfortable augmenting yourself with contractors, agencies, and junior support for events and logistics. Over time you will build and lead the marketing team beneath you.

What You'll Do
  • Product marketing (your core): Own how we articulate our products to distinct audiences - dealers, lenders, carriers, mortgage, and consumers. Build the messaging, positioning, and narrative that make each product land.

  • Sales enablement: Arm the sales team with best-in-class collateral - decks, one-pagers, leave-behinds, follow-ups - and enforce a shared template and style guide so any rep can sell any product without the founders in the room.

  • Product launches and GTM: Partner with product and sales to launch new products and features, owning positioning and enablement as our surface area grows - including helping partners like Experian sell Axle nationally.

  • Founder-led marketing: Keep our founder-led engine running, primarily on LinkedIn, where we have reached millions of impressions posting several times a week. Set the founders up for success and protect the momentum.

  • Brand and storytelling: Take our brand to the next level with the founders and our design agency - sharpening voice, visual identity, and the story across a business that is both a consumer brand and a vertical B2B player.

  • Content, SEO, and GEO: Own our content engine and agency relationships, including SEO and generative-engine optimization - content that indexes across Claude, ChatGPT, and search.

  • Events and conferences: Own our conference and event presence end to end - selecting, building, and staffing booths, and running our client and prospect dinner series - directly or by managing contractors and junior support.

  • Balance consumer and vertical: Play to both levels of our business - keeping consumer trust and conversion high while going deep in priority verticals (e.g., a Car Dealership Guy podcast for auto, an MBA sponsorship for mortgage).

What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years in marketing at high-growth B2B (ideally B2B2C or platform) companies, with a core background in product marketing.

  • A track record of translating technical products into clear positioning and sales-ready enablement for multiple audiences.

  • Zero-to-one instincts: you have been an early or founding marketer who did everything from website to campaigns to events, and created structure as you went.

  • Strong writing and storytelling - you can own a narrative and a style guide and raise the bar on every asset.

  • Comfort operating as an army of one today while building a team and managing agencies and contractors over time.

  • Bias for speed - you would rather protect and accelerate working momentum than over-plan.

  • Fluency partnering directly with founders to drive strategy, not just execute tasks.

What would be even better?
  • Experience marketing across both B2B and consumer / B2B2C motions.

  • Demand-gen or growth chops to complement the product marketing core.

  • Familiarity with insurance, fintech, automotive, lending, or mortgage ecosystems.

  • Comfort with AI-native tooling for content and marketing ops.

What you can expect
  • $140k - $200k base

  • 0.05 - 0.2% with 4 year vesting cycle, 1 year cliff

  • Comprehensive benefits: Competitive comp + equity, medical/dental/vision, 401k, unlimited vacation, flexible hybrid work, annual offsite and bring pets to work.
