About DiligenceSquared

DiligenceSquared is the AI-native consulting firm. We deliver investment-grade market research and commercial due diligence, powered by AI agents and led by experienced consultants. Our founding team brings deep experience from Blackstone and BCG, and we’re backed by Y Combinator and Relentless. Our clients include 5 of the 10 largest private equity firms in the world and represent more than $3T in combined AUM.

The Role

We're looking for our first marketing hire to build and own marketing at DiligenceSquared. You'll work directly with the founders to shape how we show up in front of the private equity market and turn that visibility into pipeline.

Our buyers are deal teams at leading PE funds. They don't respond to conventional B2B marketing. They respond to sharp, relevant content, trusted recommendations, and being in the room with people who understand their work.

You'll own the full marketing playbook, from content and paid distribution to partnerships, events and PR. This is a first-hire role with no existing team and no established playbook. You'll build both.

What You'll Do

  • Organic content: Own our content calendar and publishing across company and founder channels, including LinkedIn posts, articles, case studies, research pieces and newsletters. Work with the founders and delivery team to turn our client work and insights into compelling content.

  • Paid marketing: Run and optimize paid campaigns across LinkedIn, search and other relevant channels, from developing creative and copy to targeting, testing and measuring performance.

  • Partnerships: Build marketing partnerships with vendors and other organizations that reach our target buyers, including co-marketing, joint content, webinars, newsletters and events.

  • PR & speaking: Build the visibility of DiligenceSquared and its founders by securing podcasts, conference speaking opportunities, panels and relevant media coverage.

  • Events: Own our events end to end, from hosted dinners, roundtables and conferences to sponsorships and VIP experiences, including concept, guest lists, invitations, execution and follow-up to turn attendance into pipeline.

  • Website & search: Own our website content, structure, case studies and landing pages, and improve how we are discovered through traditional search and AI assistants.

  • Measurement: Track performance across channels and events, understand what is driving engagement and pipeline, and use those insights to continuously improve where we invest.

What We're Looking For

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in marketing, communications, content, investor relations or another relevant client-facing role, ideally in private markets, professional services, research, advisory or another high-trust B2B environment

  • Excellent writing: You can take a complex idea and turn it into clear, concise content that feels credible to a sophisticated investment audience

  • Strong editorial and brand judgment: You know what is worth publishing, what isn't, and how to make something sharp and engaging without making it feel over-marketed

  • Polished with senior audiences: You're comfortable hosting a dinner for PE partners, building relationships with senior guests and representing DiligenceSquared professionally in any setting

  • High initiative: You don't need a detailed brief to get started. You develop a point of view on what we should do next and take ownership of making it happen

  • Fluent with AI tools: You use AI as part of your everyday workflow and know how to use it to produce high-quality work faster

  • Commercial and analytical: You know what your programs cost, what they generated and where we should invest more or less

  • Hands-on and adaptable: You're equally comfortable shaping the marketing strategy and executing the details yourself

Bonus

  • Experience marketing or selling to private equity

  • Experience at an investment firm, consulting firm, research business or other professional services organization

  • A working understanding of paid marketing, SEO and how AI assistants surface content

  • Previous startup experience

Why DiligenceSquared

  • First marketing hire at a YC-backed company with real revenue and strong client traction

  • Work directly with founders who bought this research at Blackstone and delivered it at BCG

  • Help define a category where very little real marketing exists today

  • Meaningful early-stage equity and the opportunity to build the marketing function from the ground up

  • Intellectually demanding work across complex industries, sophisticated clients and high-stakes decisions

  • A small, senior team that enjoys working together, with regular offsites, team dinners and meals together at the office

  • Competitive compensation, high ownership and very little bureaucracy
