People Inc. is seeking a creative, organized, and strategic Marketing Manager to support the Paid Memberships team in driving campaign planning, strategy, and execution. This role reports to the Head of Marketing and Development and will partner closely with them to scale a new membership program for an iconic People Inc. brand (and similar subsequent programs) through customer acquisition and retention efforts. The Marketing Manager will own key growth initiatives and be accountable for driving subscriber acquisition, improving conversion rates, and supporting retention goals. They will collaborate closely with product, design, audience growth, editorial, and social teams to develop and execute data-informed marketing strategies. Strong copywriting skills are essential.

This highly collaborative role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of cross-functional campaign execution. They will establish and manage workflows across teams to ensure campaigns are delivered with the necessary assets, messaging, and performance tracking to drive strong results.

Hybrid 3x a week- New York 

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Team:

The Paid Memberships team is focused on developing compelling offerings for loyal fans of People Inc.’s iconic brands and building these audiences within each program. This centralized team collaborates closely with brand leaders across the organization to advise on growth strategies and operate as the expert on all things paid memberships.

About The Positions Contributions:

Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

35% Collaborate cross-functionally to execute, test, and manage marketing deliverables across owned and operated channels (email, web, social, print, events, and more) including imagery, links, and promotional copy

35% Write and refine clear, compelling marketing copy across channels, ensuring consistency in voice and messaging to drive engagement and conversion

20% Partner with lifecycle marketing on retention and engagement initiatives, including audience segmentation, creative ideation, and campaign execution including creative ideation, audience segmentation and deliverables

10% Analyze performance data to inform promotional strategy and optimize placements across email, onsite, social, push notifications, and other channels

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 4-5 years experience in brand marketing, editorial or media

  • Highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Expertise in developing, analyzing and implementing marketing strategies

  • Ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Strong understanding of analytics and organizational tools such as Google Analytics, AirTable, and Excel/Google Sheets

  • Experience with data visualization tools (such as Looker) is a plus

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of the digital media landscape, with a special emphasis on the Home & Food categories

  • Keen understanding of digital metrics and revenue KPIs

  • Analytical thinker, with the ability to use data to tell stories and find solutions

  • Leadership skills that command respect and credibility among cross-functional teams

  • Collaborative and cooperative work style

% Travel Required (Approximate): 5% (potential, occasional visits to the Birmingham, AL office)

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $73,000.00 - $87,500.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
