ABOUT US

Golden Steer is a digitally native food brand and restaurant company. We are anchored by the original Golden Steer Steakhouse in Las Vegas, a true dining institution as the oldest steakhouse in the city. What started as a single location restaurant has grown into two locations and a high growth eCommerce business where we ship our seasonings nationwide. We're scaling across channels, products, and geographies and we're building the team to match.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Golden Steer is hiring a Marketing Manager to be the operating engine behind marketing across all three of our businesses: our seasonings eCommerce line, Golden Steer Las Vegas, and Golden Steer New York. This is the person who turns the plan into shipped work. You will be the operational back bone, owning the marketing calendar, executing email, coordinating creative across paid and organic, while supporting restaurant marketing for both restaurants, and keeping every marketing initiative on schedule across three brands at once.

We are hiring someone who has already held this job, knows how the pieces fit, and is ready for the next rung. You will report to our Director of Organic Marketing. We are a small team and you’ll have an opportunity to work on several exciting projects that will set you up to have a big creative voice and eventually drive the direction of day to day marketing.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Own one marketing calendar across all three brands, covering promos, product launches, restaurant events, and seasonal peak moments, with owners, dates, and dependencies the whole team can trust.

  • Email execution for eCommerce & Steakhouse. Sometimes that will require building one off emails, planning the schedule for sending. We have an email partner so the emphasis will be more on reporting back on what performed and what you would change.

  • Creative operations. Write and route briefs, traffic assets into paid and organic, hold naming conventions in Motion and Meta Ads Manager, and work with our Content Coordinator to keep the asset library clean enough that anyone can find the right file in under a minute.

  • Organic social coordination under the Director of Organic Marketing. Own the Social calendar across brands, coordinate posts with creative partners, schedule and publish, and keep community response times tight.

  • Project-manage campaigns and launches from brief through go-live and post-mortem. Build timelines, coordinate stakeholders, track deliverables, proactively flag roadblocks, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Paid media support. Keep trafficking, tagging, and QA airtight, pull weekly performance numbers, and flag what needs attention before it turns into a problem.

  • Restaurant marketing for Las Vegas and New York. Local partnerships, reservations platforms, events, in-restaurant collateral, and whatever the GMs need to drive covers.

  • PR and influencer logistics. Press requests, sample sends, hosted visits, and content collaborations, coordinated end to end.

  • Weekly reporting. Pull the numbers, put them in a consistent format every week, and surface the three things worth acting on.

  • Post-mortems. Every promo gets closed out with what we spent, what we made, and what we do differently next time.

Requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're prioritizing skills in this order:

  • Execution (must be expert). You get things done, on time, without being chased. You take an ambiguous priority, break it into steps, and close it out. This is the most important thing.

  • Organization (must be excellent). Your calendars, trackers, and files are clean and current. Nothing falls through, and the team can see status without asking you for it.

  • Marketing judgment (must be capable, owned expertise). You understand why a campaign is built the way it is, you can read the numbers, and you have opinions. We will keep developing this with you.

In addition, you should bring:

  • Real reps. 1 to 3 years in a marketing manager, marketing coordinator, or marketing operations role, ideally at a DTC brand, a hospitality group, or an agency serving them. You have run a calendar, sent the sends, and owned deadlines that mattered.

  • Ownership without hand holding. You are given the outcome and you figure out the path.

  • Comfort with numbers. AOV, ROAS, CTR, CVR, open and click rates. You can pull them, format them, and explain what moved.

  • Range across brands. eCommerce, a Las Vegas institution, and a new New York restaurant have different customers and different needs. You can hold all three in your head in the same week.

  • A genuine love of food and hospitality. You will be working inside two restaurants and a seasonings brand, and this should excite you.

  • Flexibility. Restaurants and launches do not run on a 9 to 5. Some evenings and weekends come with the territory.

YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU...

  • Have already done this job somewhere and are ready for the next adventure.

  • Are the most organized person on any team you have been on, and it shows in the systems you leave behind you.

  • Move fast and close loops. Nothing sits untouched in your inbox for three days.

  • Would rather ask a blunt question today than surface a problem next week.

  • Get real satisfaction from making other people's work land on time and land well.

  • Are comfortable executing within a small team but interacting with big senior leaders across lines

  • Have an appreciation for the brand. We opened in 1958, the history matters, and every asset has to feel like us.

  • Understand personas. On eCommerce our customers are largely suburban Gen X, Boomer, and Silent Generation home cooks, which is a different audience from the people booking a table in New York or Las Vegas.

  • Like being in the room. This role is in person in New York, with periodic travel to our Las Vegas restaurant.
