Team Overview
The team is responsible for all the cash and liquidity management, short-term debt issuance, short-term advances pricing, deposits management, liquidity investments, swap margin collateral and short-term gap management for the Bank.
Position Overview
Monitor the Bank’s Cash & Liquidity position throughout the day. Maintain, enhance, and build Python, Excel and SQL analytical tools. Support in setting of short-term advances and deposit pricing. Assist team in managing cash, liquidity, funding, money market investments and derivatives portfolio. Support the Capital Markets Group in monitoring compliance with bank liquidity reporting, financial risk metrics, position and collateral management.
Essential Job Function:
- Monitor the Bank’s cash and liquidity levels and provide support for monitoring Bank’s liquidity metrics
- Assist the team in managing money market instruments such as Fed Funds, Reverse Repos and Deposits. Maintain relationships with brokers and dealers to help monitor and report market moves and market sensitive information.
- Maintain, enhance, and build Python, Excel and SQL analytical desk tools. Leverage in house data warehouse tools to implement robust data repositories for analysis.

- Monitor the Bank’s Fed Account and compliance with liquidity metrics. Work with the Treasurer to create comprehensive liquidity and funding plan.
- Monitor issuance of funding in accordance to need and tactical plan.
- Assist the team in managing derivatives portfolio hedging assets and liabilities of the Bank
- Assist in market analysis on market condition and relative value opportunities for issuance and investment.
- Support in setting and quoting short-term advances and deposit pricing
- Provide support for monitoring and management of variation and initial margins for Bank’s derivatives
- Generate wire forms and create repetitive wires numbers, as necessary.
- Build trusted partnerships with internal teams through proactive engagement, responsiveness, and consistently high-quality deliverables.
- Assist in the management of all correspondent accounts for the Bank.
- Active participation in CM technology efforts as an analyst/business SME.
Other Duties:
- Back up other members of the Desk as directed in supporting desk activities
- Calculate and distribute various departmental and Bank metrics, e.g. Liquidity Requirements, Leverage.
- Perform special projects and other tasks as assigned.
Experience:
- 3+ years applicable experience in a financial institution or corporate treasury environment.
- Knowledge of financial markets, money markets, the Federal Reserve System and cash management.
- Experience using Python, advanced Excel & VBA, and SQL is preferred.
- Hands on experience managing money market instruments and/or interest rate derivatives is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics or similar discipline. Advanced degree (MS/MBS etc.) highly preferred.
Salary Range: $120,000-$170,00
Level and compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.
