Network Deployment Manager
We are seeking a Network Deployment Manager to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Network Deployment Manager at Marsh, you will be link between real estate development and IT infrastructure, ensuring that new office buildouts, renovations, and M&A integrations are delivered with fully functional LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and voice services. The ideal candidate thrives on the hands-on, physical aspects of networking—racking and stacking equipment and overseeing cabling—while possessing enough technical acumen to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and validate deployments.
We will count on you to:
Project & Vendor Management:
- Serve as the primary IT liaison for all Real Estate projects, including new office construction, moves, restacks, expansions, downsizing, and decommissioning.
- Manage the technology workstream for Merger & Acquisition (M&A) activities, overseeing the retrofit, standardization, deployment, and onboarding of acquired entities onto the corporate network.
- Coordinate with General Contractors (GCs), sub-contractors, architects, and designers to ensure network infrastructure milestones align with construction timelines.
- Manage third-party installation vendors for remote deployments, providing clear scopes of work and overseeing quality control for cabling and hardware installation.
Technical Planning & Design Support:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-project site surveys to assess physical requirements, including:
- Structured cabling pathways and media types.
- MDF/IDF sizing, placement, and layout (rack elevations, ladder rack, cable management).
- Electrical power requirements (circuits, outlets) and UPS sizing.
- HVAC load calculations based on proposed hardware heat dissipation.
- Carrier/LEC service availability and building entry point demarcation.
- Assist Network Engineers in developing Bill of Materials (BOMs) for hardware orders and provide input on project budgets.
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including Office Analysis Reports, Project Plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Rack Elevations.
Infrastructure Deployment & Integration:
- Hands-On Installation: Perform on-site physical deployment, including the safe racking and stacking of heavy network equipment (e.g., chassis switches, routers, servers up to 100+ lbs), as well as the installation of patch cabling.
- Facility Systems Integration: Work with the Security Team to coordinate the installation of network-based physical access control systems (readers/controllers) and IP camera surveillance solutions.
- Audio Visual & Collaboration: Assist local technology staff with the installation and basic troubleshooting of conference room technology, including Zoom Rooms, digital schedulers, and printer connectivity.
Testing & Post-Deployment Support:
- Partner with remote network engineers to conduct post-implementation testing and validation of WAN circuits, LAN connectivity, and wireless signal coverage.
- Support local office technology staff during the hyper-care phase following a move or new buildout, assisting with day-to-day problem resolution and user connectivity issues.
What you need to have:
- Experience with network hardware installation (Cisco, MIST, Palo Alto switches, wireless and SD-WAN solutions).
- Knowledge of network design and configuration (VLANs, routing protocols) to assist engineers with remote hands tasks.
- Experience working on construction job sites, understanding of blueprints, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with Audio Visual integration or IP security camera systems.
- Project Management training or certification is a plus.
- Advanced Level of English is a Must
What makes you stand out:
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift and maneuver network equipment weighing up to 100 pounds safely into server racks.
- Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of structured cabling systems (Cat5e/6/6A, fiber optic types and termination), cable management best practices, and basic TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with data center and telecommunications room standards (TIA/EIA standards), power requirements, and basic HVAC principles for network spaces.
Why join our team:
- We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
- We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
- Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
