The Multi-Role Studio Operator will manage robotic cameras, audio duties, quality control for broadcasts, and handle graphics in a studio environment.
NewsNation is seeking an experienced Multi-Role Studio Operator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality live broadcast programming from our East Hampton studio.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives under pressure, and has a flexible schedule that includes weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience in a broadcast studio environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage robotic PTZ cameras, including framing, focus, and shading.
- Perform A2 audio duties, including microphone troubleshooting and IFB audio testing.
- Conduct quality control for teleprompter and return video signal paths.
- Load and manage monitor graphics for live broadcasts.
- Utilize ENPS for newsroom operations.
- Understand Haivision and TVU signal pathing for live feeds.
Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a broadcast news studio environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of studio operations and signal flow.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Range: $45 to 52.00/hour (per experience)
