NewsNation is currently seeking a creative, experienced and pro-active full-time Technical Assistant to join our team at the New York Bureau. As a Technical Assistant, you will work in different control room and studio positions with a focus on prompter.
Responsibilities: The Technical Assistant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Operate teleprompter using Cuescript software
• Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing speech patterns
• Multitask by listening to anchors and correspondents while taking cues from directors and producers
• Fill in on other control room and studio positions as needed
Qualifications:
• Prior control room and studio experience in broadcast facilities.
• Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment are a must.
• Familiarity with ENPS. All day parts (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.
This is an IBEW position and membership is required.
Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00 Hourly (per experience)
